These two schools playing a jamboree would be a winwin situation. The fans would get a matchup and a final score to tak about for a year. the two schools would get a pile of money and at the end of the night, both schools are still undefeated.

Wont happen. SG, armed with all these transfers from GA, would kick the total crap out of RV!

allaces1 is right on the money. The game is on! This will probably be the official public launch of the Gridiron for Gallia Campaign. It will be a fun day I'm sure.

How can you be so sure? Also, get some go-nads and list the so-called transfers names, or quit stirring the pot with the rumor.

I heard that the new coach was pretty tough. I wonder if this could be part of the reasoning?

Re: South Gallia VS River Valley
"A Jamboree is a contest played in accordance with National Federation of State High School Associations playing rules. The Jamboree will provide football teams with a "game-like" tune-up prior to the first official game and will give school athletic departments an additional revenue generating activity." This is OHSAA's definition about a Jamboree game.. It sounds like a great idea.. But is it ??? This is going to be an actual game, score will be kept, officials will call penalities and so forth.... The bragging rights of the county will be at stake..... Is this what both schools really want??? Both teams will be playing to win....It will not be your typical scrimmage.. Both teams will only have 5 or so days of contact before this contest.... I hope I am wrong but this could lead to some major injuries that could effect your whole season.... I have read many posts in the past stating the school board was aganist the county schools playing a regular season game... So why now??? Have they changed their mind??
Re: South Gallia VS River Valley
RV and GA have played many times in many sports and I don't recall any major issues with fan behavior. If it's good enough for those two than I see no issue with RV and SG playing in this game. It will also be a nice fund raiser for the Grid Iron campaign which benefits both schools and will generate a lot of community excitement. Who knows, if all goes well, one can hope to see the competition expanded in the future to other sports. I think it can be a win-win for everyone.

I will be there to support both schools. Sounds like a great idea to me.
