Steely Dan....I received word today that the all-TVC softball and baseball lists have not even been distributed to the league ADs yet!

For some strange reason, the TVC has little-to-no interest in publicizing its athletes. It is in no hurry to make the all-league lists public, nor even officially announcing the all-Sports Trophy standings!

When your league will not even release its all-league lists until ALL league teams in a particular season are out of the tournament, then.....................

For example, the TVC media had to wait until Alexander volleyball was finished with the state tournament before we even saw any of those fall lists.

It's reached the point for me that it's time to write a column about this. TVC won't like it, but the TVC media outlets don't like trying to play search-and-rescue with these all-league lists either.

Apparently the coaches know the results for these list. Alexander had their banquet and I talked to a couple parents who knew what their daughters had gotten. I disagree with the waiting to release these list as well. What does it matter, the decisions are made before the tournaments so just release it. You would think these kids are winning millions of dollars and they don't want them stalked by people. In southeastern ohio, there is little notice of the talent these kids have. Lets give them the pleasure of having their name in the paper for the hard work they done this spring. Seems funny that the boys info gets posted before the girls and they finished after the girls. It was in The Athens Messenger yesterday. Good luck to all the ladies and congratulations to those who make the All TVC, All District, and All Ohio. Maybe someday you will get your name published in the paper. I hear the District game and Ohio game is this coming Sunday. Maybe there are people who would like to go watch these games at Shawnee State, if they knew it was happening. I believe the All District game is at 3 for those interested. Maybe there will be someone else who knows more about this and will give info for us who are interested.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Ask the board why the don't release until summer...

All I know is Eastern Pikes players, and I agree why the wait??????

I do understand with teams in the tourney still, lets not disturb their unity, but I still do not agree with not letting the public at least know when and where the game is scheduled for.
