week 7 Marietta 2-4 @ New Philly
week 7 Marietta 2-4 @ New Philly
At this point of the season, I have no expectations other than for the Tigers to have fun and stay healthy. And of course, to be competitive for the next few weeks. I would like to complain about this and that. I choose to support this team. I know what we have, personnel wise. I still remember our last trip to New Philly. We were competitive I think for the first drive. 7-0 Marietta, then the wheels fell off. The injuries at that game were decimal to that whole season. Good luck boys, I wish for a win. I will take your best shot at them regardless, 100 %. Good luck

Tigers are 2-4, don't give N.P. the win just yet. Still 4 games left. Keep battling, play hard. Maybe 8 guys in the box this week will dare them to pass. Logan changed up there D vs. Gallia, maybe MHS will do the same this week.

Unfortunately, the injury bug may have hit Marietta hard this week, so changes on defense will have to be made. I hope Coach Eichhorn starts allowing the D line to shoot gaps and just maybe that will allow the linebackers to play without our D line in their laps. Keep playing hard boys, look for the wins on every play, then the big ones will happen on their own.

New Philly is a great stadium and fun place to play. Maybe a little 6/4 and let the corners just play man. Deeder can float all night and jam.
How about a little option with our quickness. Maybe a quick play action to the tightend after running dedder up the gut 5 times in a row. What abot the wild cat with Baker?
Futrell is a smart kid. How about a few audibles he can call at the line.
Marietta has a win or two left in this season. Lets go Tigers!

Seriously, no one. Had some good numbers reading this post. Good luck Tigers at New Philly. I really enjoy reading bucknuts247.com every Monday afternoon. It was neat seeing coaches Monday talk on Mariettafootball.Com Monday. Good luck Marietta, play hard.

Although we changed the offensive look up some we still brought the same old plays to the table, Deter off tackle or up the middle. I realize he's our best player but, come on, he's getting killed. 3 fumbles I believe (hurt his arm, heard it's not broke, thank goodness). Spread the ball around to the outside to open up some running lanes please. Again, NP had the box filled and blitzed the LB's almost every play. Same thing everytime expecting a different outcome= insanity. Defense, Ugh. When its 3 and forever, change the defense up to cover the gaps. We never change our defense no matter what. D line is mostly playing in the LB's laps. When a D tackle makes initial contact 5 yds down field?
All this being said, Quaker stadium is awesome and I LOVE how they get the kids (spectators) involved in the game. The 3rd quarter jump under the scored board is cool.
One question, are they teaching chop blocking to NP players, ALLOT of it was going on last night.
Both teams played hard, keep your heads up Tigers, enjoy playing the game and working hard, make every play a win.
