Week 7: Nelsonville-York (6-0, 1-0) @ Meigs (4-2, 0-1)
The Buckeyes travel to Pomeroy in their quest for a perfect 10-0 season. NY has dominated their first six opponents. Will the streak continue?
This will be the 32nd all-time meeting between the Buckeyes and Marauders. Of course, the former Nelsonville Greyhounds used to battle the former Pomeroy Purple Panthers and Middleport Yellowjackets each year for over 40 years prior to each of the current schools consolidating in the same year -1967.
The Buckeyes lead the all-time series 19-12. However, Meigs won the first 9 meetings. In the last 22 years, NY has dominated Meigs to the tune of 19 wins, 3 losses. Meigs last victory over NY came in 1999.
GO BUCKS!!!!! One week at a time!

We scrimmage Meigs. You guys should take them by a good amount. To me they are around the same level as Wellston.

The Bucks by as many as they want. If I hear any crap about how they will be the toughest team yet I'll puke. No one in the TVChas enough to beat the Bucks!

Buckeyes will take this game pretty easily. I know they bucks are taking it one game at a time and not looking ahead to anyone. This buckeyes team is really focused on what they want to accomplish and they are making a statement every week!
Nelsonville-York Buckeyes = 42
Meigs = 7
Nelsonville-York Buckeyes = 42
Meigs = 7
Re: Week 7: Nelsonville-York (6-0, 1-0) @ Meigs (4-2, 0-1)
Like I mentioned in the Wellston thread, Nelsonville-York is averaging 45 points on offense, and giving up 6. I don't see anything different happening this week.
Go Bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meigs won't have any more of an answer for the Buckeyes than they did the Bulldogs. N-Y has too many weapons and will name the score.

Re: Week 7: Nelsonville-York (6-0, 1-0) @ Meigs (4-2, 0-1)
Won-Loss records say this should be a competitive game, strength of schedule tells me different.
The Buckeyes walk away from Pomeroy with a 38 point victory.
Athens is the only opponent left on the Buckeye's schedule that has played a comparable strength of schedule, so that will be the biggest test in the regular season for the Buckeyes.
You will see me use my opening sentence on the week 9 thread when NY travels to Albany. It is certainly applicable to that game as well.
