I'm not taking a shot at VC here, but I really am just curious....when was the last time the Vikings had a good football season? I know when I was in high school 4 or 5 years ago we scrimmaged them and they were pretty solid.

I think NY wins week 10 too but Athens is in the playoffs if they are unbeaten going into that game. That one will decide who gets to play home in week 11.

Athens WILL be in the playoffs if they beat Alex and Wellston. The NY game could mean they are playing for a home game. Depending on how Region 19 goes and NY is 9-0 going into that game, thwy could just be playing for the #1 seed. They may already have a home game clinched. It just depends how the region plays out.

The only bad thing is, since Athens dropped to D3 this year, NY and Athens will play on the same night. It would have been nice to have "Chauncey/Buchtel" rocking on November 4th.

NY, you're right I didnt think about that. Because obviously many of the same people would like to see both games. Oh well...i guess we'll get a taste of that week 10 at Athens. That atmosphere should be about the best high school football can ask for.

Athens didn't really play well in this game at all, VC helped the Dogs with multiple turnovers and a sputtering offense. Athens has alot to work on before Alexander comes to town next week and plenty of mistakes on film from this game for the coaches to get their attention. Good job, enjoy this one today and start thinking Spartans and getting focused on the task at hand in the morning.

Right now I just hope both teams get focused on being 8-0 and not looking ahead. I know Athens didn't play anywhere near there potential tonight and it looks like the Bucks struggled for awhile also.

Not happy w/ a 40-0 win??? You've talked up Alexander and Nelsonville all season...are you even happy of the Bulldogs success? Because I am....Go Bulldogs 7-0 baby!!! Keep up the good work!

Athens will not have a problem with Alexander--Alexander's linemen will get tired fast with the Bulldogs running game
