Is it Thanksgiving already? By the way, I'm what some might refer to as a 'grammar nazi'. *An Eagle *It's.

This is one of those years where Region 19 as a whole is pretty strong with a lot of teams pushing what would traditionally be enough points to qualify, meanwhile it's been a very down year in the OVC which is tough for teams like Valley and West who had multiple OVC teams on their nonleague schedules.ManitouDan wrote:if West should get upset by Burg would they still get in with 2 loses ?
I really believe that West is just too much for Wheelersburg this year, but there's a reason why the games still have to be played and there's a reason we call them "upsets".
Why would it be an upset???? I believe Burg is 6-1, same as West with Burg playing about the same schedule. I love how everyone thinks Burg is a pushover this year because of there youth, but let me tell you this, those youngsters have grown into a nice football team and it would be best if you beat them this year because they will be loaded for the next 5-7 years.
I talked to a buddy of mine who was at the West-Valley game and he said he thinks Burg stands a better chance against West then they do Valley. We'll just have to wait and see how the last three weeks play out. Burg first has to take care of Minford, a team that beat them 2 years ago at Minford.

Shears will give West trouble with his ability to make plays, but Burg will need better line play than they've been getting. They are young up front and the struggled stopping Ironton's powerful running game. While West isn't quite Ironton, they are still a big physical football team. I would have to think Burg would be the underdog in that game. I'm going to watch the Burg-Minford game tonight, so I guess I can form a better opinion after tonight. Obviously SEOPS and word of mouth have shaped my opinion to this point in the season, so it will be nice to see how the dust settles in Minford tonight.

I was thinking of a reply, but I think I'll just agree with what crab apple said. I'll also be at the Burg-Minford game tonight, so I'll get a better feel for things. I'll get back with you on this subject after tonight, when I see for myself instead of relying on info from my friends to help form my opinions.

I'm working tonight... Is there any way you could post updates on this one? Or maybe another SEOPS member? I hate working on Friday's! lolcrab_apple4 wrote:Shears will give West trouble with his ability to make plays, but Burg will need better line play than they've been getting. I'll try and remember. You might want to check on the Burg Minford thread to see if anyone is doing it. I know BG77 posts updates of the radio games when he's at work.

We've got you covered Bo. I'm sure someone will be doing updates, but if not, Crab and I can manage to keep the updates coming between the two of us.Bo_Diaz wrote:I'm working tonight... This is my first... I've attended every Valley game. You're talking about Crab's Brother (no blood relation), he's marrying into the Pirate family. Poor fella! Lol... Thankfully she has some Lucasville blood so she's not half bad!
PS, she's actually top notch. And that's the end of my Burg compliments! Lol

My lovely new bride (we were just married this past August 13th) will most likely be wearing orange and black next Friday. As crab's bro pointed out, she's Burg to her very core. Heck, we live in Wheelersburg and my oldest stepdaughter is in Kindergarten at Wheelersburg. So, both of my young stepdaughters will be wearing orange and black as well.
I, on the other hand, will most definitely be decked out in purple and gold!!!!!!!!! My family has been in Lucasville for 5 generations and that's not a passion that even marrying a wonderful woman can take away. 8)
