I watched the rerun of the Zanesville/DeSales game on Time Warner and yes they have some big boys, but from what I seen, I think Jackson can win this game. They are showing it again on channel 1311 ( TWSMD ) on Thursday night.

congrats to everyone and all of their deserved recognition

I may not have a great football eye but I cannot in any way see how Blake McCoy wasn't 1st team SEOAL and all-district. Every game I attended or listened on the radio he was very good/excellent.

I'm not debating this opinion, nor am I saying anyone doesn't belong. I understand you can only have so many and sometimes there is less competition at others positions. From what I watched there isn't any reason he didn't make those teams. I don't have a single connection to the kid or family....just my opinion.

On Friday night go to http://www.whiznews.com. There will be 2 logos on the right side of the page. One will be for AM 1240...the other will be for Z 92 FM. Click the AM logo. That is where the game should be found as WHIZ always uses the AM side for Zanesville games.

Speaking of Saturday nights....what are the chances the Jackson-Burg game in 2016 could be a Saturday night experience...attendance from the area would be huge. Lol, but that is next year. First things first.

Ironmen need to figure out a way to get by Zanesville. A lot of internet posters giving Zanesville the region already, which is fine with me I personally feel this team plays better with a chip on their shoulder. I think special team play is a factor in this one, specifically kick-off coverage and field goals. Zanesville not afraid to gamble on fake punts/onside kicks either. If we do the little things right I always like our chances.

^Why do you care about my opinion? I try to use stats with predictions since Jackson plays out west. Jackson barely beat Chillicothe and Desales was up 42-7 at half on. Jackson just beat Logan. Desales blew them off the field. Athens and Logan are pretty close. Zanesville beat Athens 55-0. Jackson is a lot better since they lost to Wheelersburg. Jackson is by far the most improved team in our area after week 1. The computers had Jackson and Zanesville losing last week. I will admit my predictions are way off this year
