Is Coach Martin getting renewed or returning?

Reason why I asked, is that he has not been seen since school was let out?

he's been out west on vacation with family----haven't heard if his contract was renewed

My guess is that he's returning since he's already been working on the 2010 schedule. He's scheduled a DH with his alma-mater Liberty Union at LU on May 1.

Baseball coaches usually have to punch a kid or parent in order to get non-renewed.
Typically, there is not a line of applicants waiting in the wings for a baseball job. The work on the field and time involved just in doing that is enough to keep most people from wanting the job in the first place.
Coach Martin does a great job.

I don't think Eastern worries are about a dedicated baseball coach at this point, but more so of dedicated players----heard Nate DeWeese transferred back to Waverly---his 3rd transfer (maybe more who knows) in less than 4 years. Coach Martin sure put alot of confidence in Nate last year---he definitely would have been the team leader. Heard he transferred to play football.

Wow!!! Idk who this is.. But u might know coach martin..
Not too long ago he told me that for every ounce of sweat u lose u should drink a certain amount of Gatorade. I'm thinkin he told u the same thang but u misunderstood him and thought he said Haterade.. Ha. Don't dawg my coach..

Obviously u have some kind of grudge against him. What's wrong with Martin?
I say he's all Eastern could ask for. Even more then what we could ask for.

Since it has been posted on here asking me to answer the question, I will.

Yes, I am coming back and hope to be here for a long time! My contract is from year to year, so it is up to the school if I return each year.

I have to asked this question, do you think if I was not returning in 2010, that I would have taken on the task and put in countless hours away from my wife and family to install a drainage system under the baseball field? Does anyone Notice??

i think the eagles will be very young and talented this year, a clean slate if you will. Coach martin has faith in us and "I" hope we have more determination than last year.

It is going to take more than just determination! It is going to take committment and from what I have been hearing there is only a few committed to making themselves better during the off season? Granted, there are many playing basketball, but I also have heard there are quite a few who are not and some of them has not played in a few years. It would be in those guys best interest to get in and start working and learn the program from the guys who are returning, as well as, learning from Coach Martin.

If Eastern is going to be competitive in baseball, then the players have to put the time in during the off season.
