It's not that I didn't think Jackson COULD win, I just didn't know if they could rebound with them.
Not sure what's going on in Wheelersburg land, but you have the odds on favorite to win the SOC now sitting at .500 with a road game at Oak Hill on Friday.. perhaps the coach should keep scheduling the West Union's of the world since that prepares them so well!
Remember he gets most of his team 3-4 weeks after everyone else because of football
If Burg has ambitions of winning a District title, which I'm sure they do, why not try and schedule Fairland? I forgot, they were on the schedule but the head coach dropped them (this came directly from the AD's mouth). Why not schedule more D2/D3 schools that will challenge them? They are the premier school in Scioto County when it comes to athletes, why schedule down? Especially when your best player already has several D1 offers --- what are you afraid of? What is your goals for the year?

So who you play towards the end of the year is the sole determiner of your success come tournament time?JTEK wrote:who you play in game 1 doesn't have a hill of beans to do with your success come tourney timebbjunky81 wrote:Do you really want me to list all of the schools you should have scheduled instead of one of the worst D3 teams in SE Ohio? You schedule down so you can get wins to pad your record to try to get a higher seed in tournament draw to play an easier team and to help you keep the job you have. There is a handful of SOC Div. 1 schools that would give you a better game than West Union but you don't want to take the chance of losing to one of them. I mean D4 Webster already beat you on your own court. The 1st practice of the year is when the focus should be on the tournament. If you wait till later, you are behind. So the 1st game should have something to do with preparation and success. Maybe if you come into sectional with a bad record you will have a play-in game with someone like West Union with your prize being a date with a #1 seed like Fairland. If that is the case then the 1st game against West Union will help prepare you for a game.
