Gallipolis Blue Devils 2009

Post by superblue »

Glad to see the other thread disappear. Let’s try and talk a little football…. Does anyone know if the Blue will attend any 7 on 7 passing camps this year? Who will we scrimmage this year and are we playing a Jamboree game? Will the new coaching staff be sponsoring the annual Football golf scramble this year.. This was a good way to raise $$$ for the football program and also gave us a chance to meet the team…. Looks like the Blue will be spending a lot of time on the bus this year….. Away games at Marietta, Zanesville, Portsmouth & Hillsboro…. Logan & I-town at home….. Brutal schedule for our new coaching staff….. Any thoughts on the upcoming season??????

I believe on another post it was mentioned that GAHS had a tentative 7v7 planned with Portsmouth West and a scrimmage with Meigs. I have not been able to confirm that info, however.
Another tough schedule with 4 playoff teams from 2008 (Logan, Ironton, Chilli, Hartley). Hillsboro was 2-8 in '08.
Blue Devil fans will need to be patient until the boys absorb the new system.

Gallia Academy did itself a favor by bringing Mel Coen back to football.

Long live the Cobra!!

If you are going to throw out words like that, can you please explain yourself?

Times are bad if you are talking about our condition of our country!

Glad to see Coach Penrod is still around. He is going to be a heck of a head coach someday, and GAHS is lucky to have him around. He knows his stuff and he has an infectious personality that makes kids want to give their best.
