Should be an interesting preview for the Tigers. I would also like to see Roback run the ball better. He carries it like a loaf of bread and if he is not careful he might have fumble issues. Roback does go out of bounds a little to much. I understand he is the QB but he I heard that he is about 225-230. I also heard Malone is about 205.

Re: Waverly 2009 Football
Waverly played pretty well on defense but kept giving up the big play. The offense looked very well at times and not so well at others. Waverly had a lot of penalties. I think malone had three TD's called back. Malone showed that he wanted to win. Waverly was down seven and Malone had a nice run where he broke tackles and went for a TD but then it was called back. Then a few plays later he caught a little passed over the middle then reveresed directions and then out ran everybody for a touchdown. All in all if waverly cuts out giving up the big play on denfense and penalties on offense then they should be a good team.
Re: Waverly 2009 Football
Waverly has the potential to be a very good football team. They will definitely have to cut down on the penalties and turnovers.
Derek threw some beautiful passes and the receivers did a nice job of catching the ball. Ryan Tackett gives our receiving core an added dimension with his speed. Impressive throw and catch for the TD.
The defense looks much more physical and aggressive than last year. It's so nice to see that D-Line busting up plays and making tackles in the backfield. This team is going to be fun to watch!

The Shulyer (sp) kid impressed me last night. Made some great defensive plays. The o-line has got to pick it up some. It was good see Ferdie back on Waverly's sideline.

It's good to have Coach Marquez back at Waverly. He sets a great example for our kids and is a great teacher and coach.

John What kind of Stat program do you use?
Also concur Ferdie is a great addition to the Waverly staff. He was very up beat in the scrimage Saturday morning at Piketon. Piketon beat Waverly frosh 3-1 I believe.
