Why in the world would they quit?...Maybe its the best thing for logan...Because when the chips are down i want to know when its all over that my TEAMMATES..Stood strong in adversity and faced the challange at hand..And not give in...Not bashing on the chiefs..
I played for NY..And we thrived on sticking toghter. If NY lost we Lost toghter..Not as one...I for one if i was kelly.Would Never let a quitter step on a logan field again....just my thoughts...

Since the topic is "Logan Football", a little deeper discussion may be in order. First, what does Logan consider itself as a football program? Is it a SE Ohio school? Will it be looking north and west as the other schools in the region and the SEOAL trend smaller? A few years ago, Logan was on an extended run of talent. It made sense to schedule up as they could more than compete with the D1 programs it was playing. Now, does it make sense to play such a tough schedule? Do we want to become Newark and be 2-8 every year? I think Logan is bottoming out now. Talent is lower than recent years, players didn't get appreciable meaningful playing time due to Logan's previous runs. (How are you going to pull kids when they are going 31-4 over a three-year period?) The team is adjusting to a new coach who is bringing in a different philosphy. He's trying to distance himslef from Amyx and be has own man. Results so far aren't what he'd like. I'll make a point here regardless of talent or coaching and I have no way of knowing if it applies but could these kids be uncoachable? I knew the 2008-2010 classes of kids and they bought into the plan. THey played as a unit and had each other's backs when the chips were down. Maybe these kids aren't tuned into the plan. Is the plan right? I asked a lot of questions and didn't attempt any pat answers because there are none. The program (and that means coaches, players, and administration combined) have to figure out an identity. If not, drift will occur and complacency will set in. What happens if they quit playing the Lancasters and the Pickeringtons and schedule more regionally and then the next phenom class comes along? They will be flayed for not playing UP. But playing up right now is getting them flogged. Someone needs to decide what Logan will be going forward and map out a strategy to achieve that plan.

Locos posted the lineups and looks like the starters are still there, although I noticed he doesn't have at least one sub on there

The next 4 SEOAL game will tell the story, 2 games are winable. In order for improvement to occur the Chiefs must correct there problems respect the coaches, and win all 4 remaining SEOAL games. So many problems so little time.

Umm there was about 3 different stories from all angles on tonight's game in YESTERDAY's paper, like there has been for the last oh I dont know, 10 years or so......There was a review of Gallia by Locos, and CDunn wrote two different game previews with a breakdown of injuries and hardhat awards among other things.
I talked to another person and what you said was in there by him. The person that E-mailed me and said that hasn't come back with anything yet.
I use to get the Logan Daily but a certain person over there seems like they own it so now I'm saving 75 cents a day. lol

Logan fans are reminded that the parking lot over the hill at Memorial Field is now reserved for handicap parking. Sure will be glad when we get out of the pigpin swamp and move to Centenary where there will be all kinds of room for parking.

Don't know right now. Several want it like Logan and Jackson. Some want grass. Ohio Valley Bank donated $100 thousand to help get things started out there, Gallia's new superintendent (Roger Mace) would like to be out there in two years. Everything else is already out there--basketball, baseball, softball, track, tennis courts and soccer field. Still lots of work to do in the sports complex area funded mostly by Eastman's Foodland with more than a $1 million donation.

Some of Logan's soph's appeared to have made an impact last Friday. That should be a good sign for the future.

Gallipolis City Schools website said $100,000 not $1 million. Donations made to both city and Gallia County Local Schools. Just FYI.
GAHS will still be at Memorial through the end of this decade.

Congratulations to the Chiefs getting that first win. Finally, a game where they weren't shooting themselves in the foot. Did the departed kids have some effect on this? Is the atmosphere in the locker room improving? Maybe they won't be pressing for a win now and can just go out and have some fun. Pressure is off for awhile.

Dazed, from what I understand it was mostly backups that quit the team, about all the starters played Friday night,I think the biggest difference was the strength of schedule finally caught up in Logan's favor,Gallia didn't have much speed and that helped Logan a lot IMO..

Didn't make it to the Gallia game. So how do they stack up against Warren? Any thoughts?

Well I have not seen Warren in person but from looking at their schedule and results I don't think they'll be near as big physical or fast as the teams Logan has lost to, and if the QB doesn't play for Warren, Logan could have a field day,,,,again I think the key for Logan is not committing the mistakes(penalties, bad snaps, turnovers) and a smaller, slower team could make that easier,,Warren does have a pretty good QB from what I understand so contain him and Logan will be fine,,,
