2009 Football scrimmages and jamborees

South Gallia plays River Valley in a jamboree game August 15 @ 7 pm at River Valley High School. First time these two teams will meet on the field in history. Even though it's basically a scrimmage, the boys on the field will lay it all on the line for county bragging rights, plus I'm sure there will be a large crowd for this one.

Actually the game is at the old RV High School in Cheshire...

What does a jamboree have to do with football? I'm confused. I think of an outdoor music festival when I hear the word jamboree.

Aug. 21: VS Sheridan (Jamboree)
All scrimmages at Logan Chieftain Stadium
not sure on time though. locos might know.

Jamboree's are to be played like regular games, so I would think that includes kick off and punt returns.

no kicks are allowed to be returned, even though they are practiced. Alot like the college spring games.
