I would advise you to keep your predictions quiet seeing as how Racine has NEVER beaten Trimble and NEVER won a TVC title.

Just my thoughts guys!

I am glad you have pride for your team, but we will crush the kittens come week 1. You can talk all the smack you want but we will let the players do the smackin' week 1 when we come to G town. Go Buckeyes

First game of the season there's going to a lot of peanalties and turnover both teams will not be at there strongest so I feel though Trimble will be over matched by the Buckeyes ground game NY 34 Trimble 12 Buckeyes start the 2009 season 1-0 plenty of more wins for the Bucks to come after week 1 GO BUCKS TRIMBLE SUCKS ! 10-0 here we go !!!!!!!!!

I don't think Trimble loses at home here. The Buckeyes are pretty young. The pressure will be too much.

No disrespect to the Buckeyes, I just think losing 20 seniors is a bigger deal than the fans think.

Ny lost alot of starters but we are cocked and loaded for the 09 season. Arnold and Cunningham will be to much for the kitty cats to handle. Ny will not lose there opener in G Town. Go Buckeyes/Buckeye Pride

Faires (sp?) always seems to eat Davey's lunch, and have something up his sleeve so I think it'll be closer than most think. I still think the Bucks win, but I'll take a 1 point win and get out of town!!

Go Bucks!!

We will see. I think the Bucks will have their hands full on several occassions this year. The invincibility that the faans and players feel exists can be harmful to the Bucks. If the Cats will the battle up-front on D, which I think they will, the Buckeyes will fal. That is where the loss of experience and leadership will show. Up-foront. But... I always like to see an Ohio team beat a Hocking team. It helps solidify the Ohio as the stronger division.

The Ohio division should beat the Hocking division teams 90% of the time as they are larger schools and were put in separate divisions for a reason. As far as N-Y and Trimble go, even though it is a rivalry and N-Y should win easily, games such as this will at the end of the year make Trimble a better team heading towards the playoffs and will do nothing for N-Y's playoff chances.

Beating Trimble will do nothing for NY's playoff chances. Timmy are you kidding me?????? You had a home playoff game last year and finished 4th in your region if you wouldn't have won agaisnt Trimble you would have finished 8th in your region barely making the playoffs and going on the road. In 2006 you were 3rd in your region with a win against Trimble you would have been 6th.
I can go on but to pretend this game doesn't matter to both teams for the playoffs is crazy. This is a great win for either team as in Nelsonville and Trimble both help the other one out in terms of playoff chances and getting a home game for the 1st round.
Should be a good game for the 1st week.

Anyone know what NY's Scrimmage schedule looks like.

With both teams averaging 7-9 wins a season it is worth a lot of playoff points for the winner of this game. With the game being week 1 I doubt that it was much of a factor in preparing Trimble for their first round playoff win last year though. However, to say the points were not welcomed by Nelsonville I would think is not accurate.

NY should be very good. The non-league schedule will tell the tale of the season. I am particularly interested in the BU game, as I am a BU fan. BU won last year then went down hill, while NY lost and learned from it, the sign of a good well coached team.
