1.chillicothe vs portsmouth
2.logan vs lancaster
3.logan vs chillicothe
4.huntington(ross) vs piketon
5.portsmouth vs portsmouth west

I really didn't think Logan and Langcaster were big rivals.
------------------ TO BE A RIVALRY GAME . LOGAN HAS TO WIN SOMETIMES, THEREFORE, MARK THIS ONE OFF.

TO LEAVE OFF IRONTON/PORTSMOUTH IS UNTHINKABLE. HECK, THEY EVEN WERE RIVALS AS A PRO TEAM.

THE SAME IS TRUE OF THE WHEELERSBURG /IRONTON SERIES. UNTIL THE LAST COUPLE YEARS, THAT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY LOPSIDED IN IRONTON'S FAVOR. DESPITE SOME CLOSE GAMES. IRONTON HAD AND STILL MAINTAINS A COMMANDING LEAD OVER LOGAN, AND DA BURG.

Nelsonville-York VS. Trimble

It doesn't go back 80 years like some but it means a lot to the kids who play in it.

Not top 5, but some that come to mind....

Massillon vs. McKinley
Troy vs. Piqua
Ironton vs. Portsmouth
St. Edwards vs. St. Ignatius (The Holy War)
St. Xavier vs. Colerain (Recently, has been very interesting)
Ironton vs. CAPE (Back in the Day)
Cardinal Mooney vs. Coldwater (not so much a rivalry,... but the matchups have been great)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FIRST LET ME SAY, I LOVE THE BURG, AND LOGAN'S BRAND OF SMASHMOUTH FOOTBALL.

but rivalries are considered to be a close seriesin my opinion. and thats just not the case yet, even though logan, and wheelersburg have won the last 2. you can't talk about a series w/out talking about the past.

the perfect example inthese parts is ironton/portsmouth.

but to get to the next level, ironton needs to start winning these games again.

Going back when I played and both teams were still in the TVC , I have to say Belpre-Warren.

The Warren-Belpre game is always big, but the Warren-Marietta rivial is about the biggest game right now. My son is a Jr this year and all he talks about is how hard the hitting is going to be when they play Marietta. They are ready to play this year! They've been ready to hit during the 7 on 7's already and can't wait to put the pads on in a few weeks.
