Re: 2009 southeastern Ohio BOLD predictions
N-Y will win the TVC Ohio (again), Meigs will finish 2nd and both will go down in the first round of the playoffs (again). P.S. - Both must learn how to play defense. Offense alone does not win playoff games at the Regional semi's and beyond (the only Ohio exception to this rule I've seen in the playoffs recently are the Kenton teams with Ben Mauk at QB who were unstoppable in their spread).

1. Chilli will be playing in week 13
2. Warren will win its four of it's 5 non-league games one of it's five league games
3. Logan will NOT go undefeated
4. Logan, Ironton, Chillicothe, and 1 more team will make the playoffs.
The SEOAL is what you know best..and you only go 1 for 4?

That is very bold...however, I think they have a good shot to make a run at it...I also think Waverly could take it, kind of the same scerenio as West, they had a small senior class the previous year, had a losing record in a year they were expected to at least be decent, return a lot of starters...and if (and thats a big if) they worked hard in the offseason (and I don't know, I would assume they would, a 4-6 record is big motivation), they could win the Soc right out from under everyone
you can't forget that burg has valley, waverly and west at home

Ironton will show that the SEOAL really didnt get any better these past few years (with the possible exception of logan). All it showed was Ironton didnt field the teams they normally did.(for whatever reasons).

Now that's BOLD!

Re: 2009 southeastern Ohio BOLD predictions
West and Ironton will meet in the playoffs and the outcome will make all the old greyhairs admit (to themselves only) that they really made a bad mistake running the coach off a couple years ago.

Another great season for the Tigers that ends in 9 (79 & 89 State Champs, 99 State Runner up).
Ironton wins Region 15
Wheelersburg wins Region 19
Logans SEOAL win streak ends
Coal Grove wins the OVC
Coach Lutz will become the All Time Winningest Coach in the State of Ohio.

I think Minford will go 9-1 and win SOC2. Their only loss? Coal Grove, who they will beat in the region 19 finals, then end their season in the quarterfinal game.

Okay, before anybody rakes me over the coals, remember these are "BOLD PREDICTIONS," not GUARANTEES, which means I'm playing the role of Carnac the Magnificent and not Joe Willie Namath before Super Bowl 3.
Here we go then.
Gallia Academy goes undefeated at home with wins over Athens, Ironton, Logan, Chillicothe and Bishop Hartley.

Watching the Cats practice, they seem like there going to be pretty tough. The Moore Kid will have 1,000 yard season. The Massie Kid will have about 500 or 600 yard season. Just from watching them seem to be always running full speed.

East reloads and goes 9-1 to win their 4th straight SOCI title. Hopefully doesnt blow a 3 TD lead in the playoffs.

Thank you. I did mean Semis. As for getting beat by burg, I'd say that's very possible, but i am a bit biased and i was going for bold.
