Team Ohio finishes 2nd at AAU Nationals

Congratulations to the Team Ohio 8u for their 2nd place finish at the AAU Natioals in Disney. They went 3-1 in pool play and 3-1 in tourney play with the 2 losses coming to eventual champions the Atlanta Cagers. The girls were in both games but just couldn't win after getting down early. Still a successful run though! Work hard this summer and try again next year.

4 members of the Team Ohio were already Thunder players and will be returning to the proud Thunder program next year. The 2 teams joined after a couple Thunder players couldn't make the trip to Florida and Team Ohio didn't quite have enough girls to go also. Both teams were more than excited to join forces and made one heck of a run considering they only had 3 practices together and had to learn plays and presses on the fly. Very, Very proud of both squads. Not sure who is returning to Team Ohio, but the Thunder has a solid core and is looking to add players for next year.

Yes, Congrats are in order. Very proud of all the girls, they played their hearts out and should be very proud of this accomplishment. Very proud of the NY girls Jesse and Madison. The future looks bright for NY Basketball.

Where is this team from? Who are the players and from what schools? It would be nice to know where the future talent is for the area schools!

Two of the guards are from Nelsonville-York. 3 players from the Columbus area and I am not sure where the WV guards are from.

No prob. They really are a special group of girls. I may be a little biased as one of them is my niece but I do think they are all very talented.

The 4 players from the Thunder are Natalie Hall (Chesapeake Elem.), Erin Daniels (Minford Elem.), Madison & Morgan Vaughn (Buffalo Elem).
