from a business standpoint, i wouldnt touch him with a 10 ft pole. would he put more people in some seats? maybe, but not enough to make it worthwhile. would it be worth the media circus it would create for your team? no way.

here is my suggestion if he plays. put a remote cattle prod or something of electrical conductive nature with at least 110 current near the rear. when he throws an interception, zap him. if hes takes a sack and doesnt get rid of the ball, zap him.
maybe instead of a helmet speaker or mic, might i suggest a metal rod.

From my point of view Vick deserves a second chance. I dont see why people are so worried about this. the man made 1 mistake in his life. He should not be judged over it now. Every one messes up somewhere down the line. Yea his was bad. But he did the crime and he did the time. So just let it go. If you go out as a kid or something and still a candybar from a store would it be right for them to never let you come back. NO. Just make you pay for it and give you a short period of time to stay away. So I think he should be aloud back without all of these people harrassing him about what he did 2 years ago. LET IT GO.

If I was running an NFL team i would sign Vick with no remorse. He is an excellent athlete that can stretch out a defense and cause a ton of havock on many defenses. With out a doubt I would put Vick on my roster.

I would sign him for one year for the league minimum and have him return punts and kickoffs and see how he behaved. If he toed the line and kept his nose clean I would work on him for a second year.

I don't think any team wants to deal with the potential media circus that will surround Vick. No owner wants PETA and other animal rights groups picketing their stadiums week after week.
Plus, I don't think any team wants to be the first test case to see if Vick is going be a model citizen or not.

I dont see why people are worried so much about vicks conduct when before dog fighting he was never in trouble so why are they worried about him being in trouble again and dog fighting isnt that bad of a thing it is like boxing or ufc but with animals

Dog fighting = boxing or mma?
That's a stretch.
The point of boxing and mma is not for one opponent to kill another.
Boxing and mma each have an official involved who will step in to stop the fight or at least enforce the rules of the sport. Plus, there's a doctor on duty to check out each combatant and medical facilties are usually located on site.
In dog fighting, there is no ref, no doctor and no medical treatment available, because the loser is dead by the end of the bout.

still i don't condone dog fighting but i think they have blown it out of proportion just b/c he is or was a big NFL star and they wanted to just use him as a example

Any team that would take this convict would be dumber than ..........well never mind!

Dogfighting is MUCH worse than boxing or the MMA. Give it some thought and anyone in their right mind would agree.

the thing that gets me is he was an average nfl qb at best and thats a knock on average qb's past and present.

if new england passed, i would venture to say that his options are getting real slim. the only team espn says is remotely interested is san francisco.

I'll agree with Q101 regarding Vick's QB skills. Average is probably generous.
Career passing stats in 6 seasons (74 games played)
QB rating: 75.7
Passing efficiency: 53.8%
Yards passing per game: 155.5
TD: 71
INT: 52

Media outlets attempted to make him a "star" but he wasn't. Some people bought it but informed fans didn't. The numbers don't lie. Witpro, q101, and boogerred took the words out of my mouth. As far as playing a skilled position is concerned however, the man did have very quick feet and could be an asset on third down or on special teams. That has always been my opinion of him. I think with the lack of pt during the past 3 years or so his qb chances are only slightly better than mine in the league. Much better passers never are given the chance. The man did inspire the wildcat offense unintentionally. Most teams wouldn't have taken him as a QB before he was proven a criminal and now his chances are far less.

He did wrong, Yes he did his time. But people are not going to forget this. They will make a circus at the game, holding sighs, yelling, protest in parking lot. It will be bad. That is why no one really whats him.

I think every team that passes him up is nuts. Teams that are an injury away from disaster....28. His phone will be ringing sooner than later....
