Take away blitzing from a defense, it will allow the QB to pick it apart.

You got that right, especially from the A+B gaps. :122249

One thing I would like to add is the addition of Shane Davis to this coaching staff.
What a great example and help that he will be for these kids. We got a waiver to let him play when he was in the second grade, so Shane has played alot of football and had a great college career. He has probably forgot more about playing the offensive line than most of us ever knew. :122249

First of all I would like to say that stats mean nothing in a scrimmage game.

Strong Points for Minford;

1. The run game looks to be strong this year. They moved the ball on every drive.
2. The run defense looked strong up front.
3. I think this ball team will be strong in the SOC this year. Possibly playoffs

Things to work on for Minford;

1. I agree the conditioning look suspect.
2. The pass defense needs to improve.
3. Timing with the QB and WR was off a little bit.

Strong Points for Portsmouth;

1. They look like they have play makers at QB,WR,and LB.
2. The defense looks faster and more aggressive than last year.
3. They look like they had a little of the Trojan swagger back that's been missing.

Things to work on for Portsmouth;

1. The run game must improve.
2. Make sure we maintain our intensity threw the whole game.
3. Get healthy for the first game.

Overall; Both teams had some good moments and both teams had some moments to forget. I think both teams have the potential to make the playoffs this year. Good luck to Minford, I hope you have a great year in the SOC.

The Trojans off season weight program looks like it will pay off this year. They look stronger and faster this year. Keep working hard and good things will happen this year.

I thought the Falcons did great. Overall the team speed seems a bit less than last year, but they are playing physical, fundemental football. I like their chances this year.
