looks like its going to be a LONG season for the pointers. I did not attend and nothing bad about chesapeake but i am very disapointed with this outcome
Re: OVC PREVIEWS

No doubt about that I played for shilot and company for 2 seasons and its a good coaching staff and a good system.........I still have faith in my pointers come crunch time
Re: OVC PREVIEWS
I heard it was 13-0 Coal Grove. . . but I was over at Putnam Stadium watching Ashland and Greenup County.

Don't know. . . but it gives me confidence in my prediction about them beating South Point in the regular season this year. . .

Re: OVC PREVIEWS
In all honesty SP moved the ball a lot more then Chesapeake throughout the game. Really Chesapeake didn't have much offense going at all. SP scored once early in the game, but it got called back. Then they were within the 5 yard line and fumbled it. Finally they did score to make it 6-0, but did not get the field goal. Then under 30 seconds left in the game, Chesapeake made a pass down the field that put them within reach, then threw up another pass with 6 seconds to go and scored and the field goal was good to make it 7-6.
It was definitely a good game at the end....both teams have some things to fine tune, but thats what a preseason is for. Goodluck this year!

south point will be ready to come out and play in a real game when they meet and we will take it to them like we did last year

Hey fuzz, was Ashland that good or Greenup that bad, and what type of offense was Greenup attempting to run.
