We have had this same ref before at Jackson, she does not call a good game.

As a ref this really drives me nuts. You may have had three balls go into the back of the net, but they aren't goals untill the ref declares them such.

I have seen balls thrown into the net, from a throw in and parents said the ref "took away the goal away". Yes it went into the net, but its not a goal, so it can't be taken away. I don't know you circumstance. What were the calls on the goals that were "taken away"?[/quote]

The first time "the ball went into the net" a player was questionably offsides but he was on the opposite side of the field and was not anywhere near the play.
The second time "the ball went into the net" a player recieved the ball in the box but missed the kick and another player ran up next to him, trapped it and kicked it into the goal but they said the person who shot it was offsides.
the third time "the ball went into the net" there was a free kick from around the 45 yard line, it was kicked and headered in. the A.R. did not raise his flag he just ran up the field to his spot, then the head ref ran to the A.R. and the discussed it for awhile then over turned it saying there was a push in the back.

That is how it looked from my angle.

Its hard for me to comment on without seeing the plays from the prespective of the AR. I will say some Refs do seem to make worst calls and a lot more of them then others, but all of us get a few wrong once in a while, we are human.

I would like to say that overall the refs do a really good job. Many fans just don't understand the game, for example advantage play, but there are a few that give the others a bad rep. The particular ref I talked about above I have watched for the past three years. 2 years ago she had to be approached by a coach and told not to tell the kids on the field "man on" or "drop pass" and we found out later he/she had affiliation with the school he/she was "coaching" on the field. In the past 4 games I have seen her/him ref they have made about 1 call per game. I see several pairs of refs where one ref makes all the call, even from all the way down the field. I don't know if they pair up new refs with more experienced ones or it is decided between them that one will make all the calls, but it never sets well with coaches, players or fans.

I think that the two man system is not the way to go. You need the three man system. One ref is in middle controlling the consisitency of the calls and the AR's can concentrate on out of bounds and offsides.

i agree. three man system is definately the way to go. the problem is that some schools had to cancel and reschedule games because they couldn't find anyone to officiate.
