Re: Wheelersburg questions
I was at the game last night and it seemed to me that Lang got rattled and shaky and I can tell you that the Shankweiler boy looks like he has ice water in his veins.

Re: Wheelersburg questions
I believe Schwankweiler led a comeback against Ironton last year and towards their only TD this year. One could only wonder.
Re: Wheelersburg questions
Well... IMO Shankweiler deserves a shot. Nothing against Lang as he is a solid athlete, but he has limited game snaps at the varsity level. He did well last season against Ironton until his injury. IMO Shank has better feet as a runner and may be a bit quicker. From what I saw Lang seems to be the better passer. I think the team is more comfortable with Schank due to him running the O last season. In either case, both need to be on the field getting touches.

Re: Wheelersburg questions
I believe it was Schank who threw the long pass that Stegman caught and he also threw the other one that was dropped. It looked like he had really improved his arm strength. Both passes were right on the money and the second one was a deep ball.
Going to be interesting this week to say the least.

Just doesn't make since to replace a QB who guided a team to a 9-1 record with a playoff win.

Agree! I don't see how Shank would or could not be running the O after his play last year..........both good players.........but Shank would have my vote.

Re: Wheelersburg questions
I had the pleasure of training Shank and some other Burg boys in an athletic performance program before his freshmen year, and can tell you he is a very hard worker and a great kid. I thought he did a great job last year, and deserves the chance to show what he can do once again. Here’s wishing him and all the Burg boys luck except in week 3.

Lang threw the one that was dropped, and it was a perfectly thrown ball.
