Week 2 FINAL: Warren 43, Morgan 0
Well, let's get the ball rolling.
Morgan had a rough season last year and was able to put points on the board at Marietta in Week 1, but ended up leaving with an L, 57-20.
Warren put forth an impressive showing at rival Belpre last week, massacring the Eagles 56-0. Warren's varsity offense put 20 points on the board in the first eleven minutes alone. The Warriors also blocked two punts, and Big Blue didn't punt the ball away until late in the fourth quarter.
Game starts at 7:30 at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, I do believe, right outside of McConnellsvile. Warren has to be the favorite, but can the Raiders pull an upset?

Re: Week 2 Warren @ Morgan
If Morgan doesn't play better against the run, it doesn't matter who they play.

Re: Week 2 Warren @ Morgan
This will be interesting because it's a game that the Warriors will have in common with Marietta.
Marietta put up a lot of offense against Morgan, but also allowed the Raiders to score 20 points and rack up 200 yards via the passing game.
Warren needs to shut down the Raider offense and put some serious points on the board.
Another statement game . . .

Re: Week 2 Warren @ Morgan
i look to see the warriors run all over the raiders just like marietta did...they will be running with two backs instead of just one if pritt doesn't eat popcorn before the game again
....i don't think morgan will throw for 200 against the warriors because of all the pressure they are getting up front...i heard the linebackers talking about how easy it was for them against belpre because the lineman were taking on two or three blockers at a time...it sould be another victory for the warriors but they can look past the raiders because they are definitly capable of sneeking one in there...
...go one...

But that's also Belpre, and I'd say Morgan is a better opponent. Even though they shouldn't put up much of a test for any SEOAL teams. I'll predict Warren by 2-4 scores.

Arren should win this game, i don't think it will be a blowout like 56-0. Morgan should have more of an offense, Belpre had no offense missing 2 key players which hurt them bad. Warren's offense should have no problem putting points on the board.
Warren 35
Morgan 14
Warren 35

We'll be there screaming and yelling for our boys in blue (err I mean white) the question I have is for everyone else, it's not that far to McConellsville so get in your car or truck or suv or whatever you drive and give em' support that they haven't seen in a long time.
These boys and the coach's put in a lot of time and a full set of bleachers like we had at Belpre would surely make make them feel great and make them know we got there backs.
GO WARREN BEAT MORGAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a great win against Belpre, and I agree with BigBlueDad. Everyone needs to get to the game to root for your team. I was sitting at about the 40 yard line just three rows back, and as the game went on it started getting more and more quiet. So I yelled that the Warrior fans were getting too lazy to even cheer at the team from play to play, and I don't care if it p....d off some of the so-called fans. I can't believe how numb most of the Warren fans can get. I scream out something practically every play. I looked around several times, and it reminded me of a Wax museum. Most everyone was staring ahead as if they were mesmerized by something. I'd like to think they were in shock by the score, but gee whiz, wake up and yell something. The boys can't here your eyes shouting out cheers. So, open your mouths. If this offends anyone, then you must be guilty. I guess that's all for now. See ya' at Morgan.

the boys can't really hear you that well either...where i was sitting it sounded good...it was the first game of the season...even the fans get first game jitters...

Schnellfritz;
Would you rather us "So called fans" just stay home. Maybe some of us try to be a little more humble when our team is beating our opponent by a large margin. I remember past Warren teams taking beatings week in and week out. We really didn't like seeing the opposing teams fans rant and rave the entire night. If you want our support, please do not call us out and give us a scolding.
Good Luck at Morgan, keep up the good work.

Funny thing is, unless a kid is playing for personal glory, they hear absolutely nothing from the crowd. Goodluck Warriors.
Oh btw, I'll be there...lol
Re: Week 2 Warren @ Morgan
there is a difference between not cheering an showing class...i have been there on the other end of a game like this both in the stands and on the field and i always appreciated the other fans showing some class when they were killing us...hope when logan comes to town they will do the same...

I don't see what "showing class" and "cheering" have in common. In fact, I would hope than fan bases would cheer from whistle to whistle the same way we expect players to play.
Considering that in "blow out" time games most of the kids playing in the 4th and sometimes 3rd quarters are second and third string kids, I guess I feel like those kids deserve big Friday night cheers that they likely won't get on Saturday morning.
And I certainly don't assume we'll "kill" anyone. Warren is a much improved team, and I'm sure our kids and coaches will prepare for a stiff challenge from the blue and white.
Congrats to Warren on a BIG win last week, hope they keep it rolling this week.
