congrats burg! nice game to get some confidence and playing time for the second string...didnt realize the pointers were that down...after their first initial defensive effort and first down on offense...they were never in the game

Good job Burg...keep up the winning...every point helps...I really didn't think SP would be that bad...or did the burg play that good....I would love to hear what actually happened...does anyone have a run down of the scoring and stats?...again...Congratulations on the big win...

Congrats to the Pirates on the big win tonight. The boys looked like a completely different team than the one I saw last week. The offense looked really good and the defense was just stifling. I think other than the one big run the Pointers were pretty much held in check all night. Very impressive showing by the Burg on both sides of the ball.

Any word on how Greg Taylor of South Point is? A very scary moment when he went down and wasn't moving at all. Hopefully the young man is alright and wasn't hurt very badly.

I noticed Coach Clifford and his staff on the visitors side. I am sure they had plenty to look at tonight.

It's got nothing to do with sportsmanship, it's about football and being ready for anything. The Pirates had just scored a quick TD on a long pass and SP should have been prepared for the onsides since there was around 3 minutes left in the half. They should have known the Burg would want the ball agian before the end of the half and what better way than the onsides kick.

Besides, why is a Sider questioning sportmanship considering the reputation that haunts the West Side? :-D

Greg Taylor will be OK. Took a shot to the head and had tingling in arms and legs and back. He was taken to the hospital had a cat scan on his neck and head. He was released and should be ready to play after a couple of days off.

That's good to hear that it is not to serious. I agree with bg77's post. It was a very scary moment when he went down. It made my heart drop to the pit of my stomach when I seen him layin there not movin. It made me think back to the final game of the 1989 season against washington court house when eric wallace went down. Hopefully the young man gets better and he plays again this season

That is excellent news. It was a really scary situation when the young man wasn't moving after the play stopped and the players cleared. I'm am really glad to hear he's going to be okay.

couldn't agree with you more 77. burg fans know what it's like to have a player took off in a ambulance. i remember when eric wallace got hurt week 10 against washington court house in 89
