Re: =THE TVC POWER POLL= (WEEK IV) =
=THIS WEEK IN THE TVC=
#1 ATHENS BULLDOGS vs. Unranked VINTON COUNTY
#2 NELSONVILLE-YORK BUCKEYES vs. #6 MEIGS MAURADERS
#3 ALEXANDER SPARTANS vs. Unranked FEDERAL HOCKING
#4 EASTERN EAGLES vs. (non-league) WAHAMA
#5 SOUTHERN TORNADOES vs. (non-league) GREEN
#7 TRIMBLE TOMCATS vs. (non-league) FAIRLAND
#8 MILLER FALCONS vs. (non-league) GROVE CITY CHRISTIAN
#9 WATERFORD WILDCATS vs. (non-league) RIVER VALLEY RAIDERS
#10 WELLSTON GOLDEN ROCKETS vs. Unranked BELPRE EAGLES
=The Games=
Harris, Dixon, McCollum and Co. saddleup their Tenacious D as they take on a foe who has nothing to lose. A very scary game if your the team who does. Athens must take care of business in this game to get to (5-0)...
Arnold and a suprising 'Pass-Attack have NY flying high. Meigs comes off a tough loss in a game they thought they could battle in. NY cannot overlook Meigs at home, or they may be leaving Pomeroy empty handed...
Alex has a chance to be (5-0) for the 1st time in a long time. So you better believe they will be pumped. A trophy (SPICER) on the line always makes the game a little more intense. Look for a battle of Lancers and Spartans and Fans 'Oh My!'
Eagles look to be the TOP of THE HOCK. Wahama a (soon to be league foe) will give them all they want. Look for a battle here...
Southern has spun from (0-2) to (2-2) outta nowhere. They can compete for The Hocking Title, and winning non-league games can only help their chances...
Trimble is having an Un-Trimble season thus far. The question is, do they want to rebound and make a fight for The Hock Crown...
Miller has found it tough the past 3 weeks. Losing one close and then having two blown up. They must rebound this week or they will find it hard to think about a Hock Crown...
Waterford too has slipped these recent weeks, and River Valley may just be the team they need to rebound against. However, the Raiders won't just hand it to them either...
Wellston can begin to shovel themselves outta the hole they are in. Belpre was so close to upsetting Alex last week. Will they fall flat as a result to such a close defeat...
Good Luck to all, hope for injuries and hope some teams give us something to talk about...

Eastern hasn't beat a team that a good j.v. team wouldn't beat.
Trimble could have beat eastern by 80 last year, you think eastern is 80 points better than last year?

Interesting NIGHT of FOOTBALL...
Five Weeks Complete and 3 Teams remain Undefeated...
Should be some movement in the Polls when I crunch the Numbers this Weekend!!!
MAKE A CASE FOR YOUR TEAM!
...And Whompascat...the numbers right now are not in favor of Fed. Hock and Trimble....but thats why you play all (10) games to determine a Champion!!!

Whompascat.....you are the one talking numbers...saying trimble could have won by 80 last year.
Yes Eastern is 80 points better this year. The Eagles aren't running sideways and playing two hand touch anymore.
The Eagles had a tough hard fought loss against a good Wahama team and I expect this weeks game to be just as tough and competitive.

I'm with whompascat. Trimble wins the TVC Hocking.
Trimble would have a nice record with a weak schedule as well. Right now with Eastern, they're the team with one eye in the land of the blind.
Though, I get how this poll works, so as of now it's spot on. I just predict that Trimble finishes much higher.

Re: =THE TVC POWER POLL= (WEEK IV) =
I don't see how a winless Trimble gets ranked in front of a 1 win Wellston team. Lets face it! Trimble is bad this year!! Don't go and slap Wellston in the face by putting them in front of them.

O & B -
I would agree with you that a (Winless) Trimble Team would not be Ranked infront of a (1) Win Wellston Team...
However like Dilligaf Pointed out, Both Teams defeated (Belpre) ...
But thanks for keepin' an EyE on the POLLS ... if there is a mistake I hope you'd catch it so I can fix it....
WEEK SIX IS HERE....WHERE HAS FOOTBALL SEASON GONE ALREADY!!!!

Sorry I don't know what I was thinking!! Sorry Trimble you guys earned that win!!!!!

Re: =THE TVC POWER POLL= (WEEK IV) =
It doesn't matter if the team is 5-0 in the TVC. Its a very easy league and the teams who are 5-0 had little competition out of league games

we know trimble is bad, and n.y. beat them on a blocked x-tra point.
O@B what does this say about n.y?

Well since you asked!
It says that NY came back and beat there rival in a great football game. It says that NY could have rolled over and quit when things weren't going there way but they kept playing and didn't quit!! I did not mean to be so harsh on Trimble, I am not that kind of person. I should have worded what I said a little better or just kept my mouth shut! I am sorry to the fans and players from Trimble.
vikings52---------- If it is so easy to go 5-0 why are there only 3 teams in the Ohio that are 5-0?? Any team that goes 5-0 has to earn at least some respect!

=THIS WEEK (VI) IN THE TVC=
#1 ATHENS BULLDOGS vs. #3 ALEXANDER SPARTANS
#2 NELSONVILLE-YORK BUCKEYES vs. UnRanked BELPRE GOLDEN EAGLES
#4 EASTERN EAGLES vs. #8 TRIMBLE TOMCATS
#5 SOUTHERN TORNADOES vs. UnRanked FEDERAL HOCKING LANCERS
#6 MEIGS MAURADERS vs. (Non-League) WARREN WARRIORS
#7 WATERFORD WILDCATS vs. #10 MILLER FALCONS
#9 WELLSTON GOLDEN ROCKETS vs. unRanked VINTON COUNTY VIKINGS
ALL LEAGUE GAMES (minus MEIGS/WARREN) Assure to Make the POLLS FLUCTUATE ...
[ATHENS vs. ALEXANDER]
The Athens County *Game of the Week*
The TVC *Game of the Week*
What more could anyone ask for? Alexander comes in with a (5-0) record, an offense scoring a bundle of points and a Coach (Arno) having his players playing sky high. Athens comes in with a (5-0) record, a defense allowing no offense to work, and a Coach (Adams) bringin' back that passion that once annually was found on the Bulldogs Sidelines. Each team with Championship on the mind, each team looking to get the edge on the others in the league. Chapman and the Spartans 'O' must find a way to get points early and often against this Powerful Athens 'D'. Harris and the Bulldogs 'O' must avoid turning the ball over, and manage the clock. The most pressure come Friday Night will be on the Suspect Alexander 'D' which has allowed teams (even in victory) to put up yards and scores. Friday Night in Athens will be a game you won't want to miss...
[NY vs. BELPRE]
Although most will be keeping their eyes on the Athens/Alex score most of the night, this game will be intriguing. Belpre is a team that has nothing to lose while NY has everything to lose. NY must avoid looking ahead to the upcoming battles with (Alex)&(Athens) and must avoid this trapt game. If NY gets Arnold running effectively early, they should control the ball game. If not, don't be surprised if this game is closer then any Buckeye fan wants it to be. Look for NY to win, but they will have to earn it against a very improved Belpre team that's record doesn't reflect the teams playing...
[EASTERN vs. TRIMBLE]
Eastern enters the game with all the confidence, and a better record. Trimble enters the game lacking that swagger that usually accompanies the Tomcats Football Program. At (1-4), the Tomcats would seem to have nothing to play for. However, with the Hocking Division Crown at stake, every game is a must win from here on out. The Eagles look to be the team playing better as their (3) victories would indicate. Trimble gets the game at home, but look for the Eagles to try to claim Glouscter Stadium. Even with the Eagles 2 wins better, people are saying that Trimble is the favorite. Look for Eastern to show they have something to prove...
[SOUTHERN vs. FED. HOCK]
The Southern Tornadoes are a one of the hottest teams in the TVC right now. The Federal Hocking Lancers, well they have met what some would call murderous row, a schedule comparable to what the Champion Pittsburgh Steelers faced last season. However unlike the Steelers, the Lancers have been on the bad end of things and as a result of their 'Hard' schedule they remain winless. This is their chance, to catch a team that is playing hott and to try and knock them off their path. The Lancers, are a team with nothing left to lose and a win Friday over a hott Southern team would be huge. The Tornadoes must keep playing good ball. This game is a hard one to predict...
[MEIGS vs. WARREN]
What a brutal stretch of games for the Mauraders. After their hard fought battle with Athens. Then last weeks showdown with the Nelsonville-York Buckeyes, this marks the 3rd week in a row that Coach Chauncey's Mauraders will play a team with an undefeated record. I think because of the recent battles, that the Meigs squad will be ready for another. I also look for them to give the Warriors of Warren a heck of a ball game. This could be a huge win for Meigs. A line I find myself saying over and over again on this thread is one team has a lot to lose while another has nothing to lose. Warren is unblemished, Meigs is broken, beat and scarred. If I were the Warriors, I would not want to play Meigs come Friday...
[WATERFORD vs. MILLER]
This match-up pits (2) teams that started the season on top of the Polls with opening day wins, but since have dropped tremendously. Waterford managed a Win last week, breaking the skid of consecutive losses that had sent their season into a tailspin. Miller since opening day, hasn't won another game getting blown out in the last (3) games they have played. This is Waterford's game to lose. They are the better team on paper when these two match-up come Friday. Will that mean a victory? Nothing is guaranteed. It is up to the Miller Falcons. A loss come Friday, will most likely send them out of the Top 10 and below 'The Cutt' line for the 1st time this season. Waterford too must keep winning, because a loss here may be a start of more to come. This is a must-win for either Team if a Hocking Crown is in their future...
[WELLSTON vs. VC]
What a difference a Week can make. The Golden Rockets from Wellston are riding high after their 1st 'W' of the season and are looking to make it (2) in a row come Friday. Vinton County on the other hand has found this season to be pretty challenging and this Week won't be much different. If not for a 'rough' schedule, Wellston too may have found several victories under their belts this season at the half-way mark. This is Wellston's game to lose, as they can try to put the pieces of a rough early schedule back together and try to string together some Wins to go out on a high note...
#1 ATHENS BULLDOGS vs. #3 ALEXANDER SPARTANS
