Even though the Trojans lost by 19 , unless you was at this game you can't we the fight that the Trojans put up, we all know Cairo and is stacked , Even with out van horn , but the Trojans fought most of the night down from 8 to 10 points,,down 9 at halftime ,cut it to three at the 2 minute mark in the third ,it wasn't till in into the fourth qtr that Cairo and pulled away,im not taking anything away from fairland because I really think if they Get van Horne back we will be watching them in Columbus.

I just want our kids to get props for the fight they put up.

Van Horn, a 6-8 junior, will be out 4 to 6 weeks according to Ironton Tribune. Dragons still had enough to beat Portsmouth 68-47 on Tuesday. Isaic Howell, 6-5 senior from Gallipolis is averaging about 20 points and 10 rebounds a game for Fairland.

I really am not sure why this site is dying down? The site needs something to pick it back up to get more traffic running through it. Maybe that is a topic that could be discussed. I know their use to be a pickem that went on but I haven't seen that in a while either.

Sites like jjhuddle & preps declined in traffic with the evolution of social media. People choose to post & read those because there is accountability in posting under a real name as opposed to hiding behind a user name. Im sure there are other reasons, but there is no denying traffic declined as twitter & facebook expanded.

Step three of a six game gauntlet for Athens tonight ... vs No. 2 Fairland!

1. vs No. 1 Vinton County 78-59 L
2. vs Parkersburg 71-45 L
3. at No. 2 Fairland
4. at No. 4 Warren next Saturday
5. at No. 1 Vinton County 1/27
6. at (10-1) Morgan on 2/14

* vs (6-6) Bishop Watterson on 2/4 could be added. they just knocked off (8-4) Westerville North last night.
* Two games vs (8-5) Meigs is worth noting.
* Oh yea, a game vs No. 9 Marietta is also worth adding.

Green wins over Covenent WVa & Rock Hill ...

... I should have Northwest & Whiteoak switched around as Northwest's only W is over Whiteoak ... I'll fix that one ...

Northwest has 2 wins on the season with wins over Whiteoak (Dec 6) and West Union (Dec 17). They have competed in a couple of other games including a 2 point loss at West. The Mohawks played 7 straight road games and finally returned home after a month on the road. Maybe enough to get them off the End Table :)

Don't forget New Lex Away on Tuesday 1/17...Only Lost by 1 to Morgan someone said...Could prove to be a Good one and a Preview possibly of a Sectional showdown

Plus it always goes down after football season. Pushing 3000 members on this new board isn't bad for these sites after a little over a year.

A lot of the people reading and not posting are due to a certain mod that has a power strikes ego so they are afraid to post because back when there was a lot of members posting you could have some playful back and forth banter but because of a couple cry baby's that can dish out a shot but run to a mod when someone gives them one back people like to have fun with out always being so serious

Preps and Yappi are the only Ohio high school sports forums with a decent amount of traffic. I wish we had more traffic from MSL and the MVL

Floyd my Eagles defense has shined the last 2 games only giving up 35 points to Western Pike and 40 to Notre Dame. Still think it may be time to put those Oaks up in the Elite 8 they are a very good team.
