This team has some talent, at least it DID have talent, when you play for a coach that can't win, it gets hard to hold your head up. This group won the TVC in Jr high, and was very sucessful in pee-wee, they didn't forget EVERYTHING they knew. And out of those 12 or 13 injured players, how many did the coaches keep away from the trainer? Maybe a small injury that could have been healed by now if the player was permitted to rest the injury when it happened, instead of forced to play with the injury. It makes me really mad to think that you go to Holzer Urgent Care and the doctor knows what school you play for because all the other injuries he has treated, not from game injuries, but from practice! This is pathetic!! I am tired of all the excuses for the coaches, these are our KIDS, they deserve better!! They are the ones going out there every week knowing they are going to lose, and still playing, how good of a player would you be? How would you hold your head up?

Hater
I had this question posed to me by a teacher of mine in high school when we were on the way to an 0-10 season. He said to me how do you guys even stand going to practice? I loved football and wanted to play and I could hold my head up as long as I gave everything I had in practice and games!!!!
As for kids getting hurt at practice, I don't know about that. It does happen sometimes, but what kind of things are they doing in practice to get hurt that much? Hope things trun around for the Vikings.

WOW..... We are now going to blame the coach for injuries? So my kid seperates a shoulder at practice and it was the coaches fault for not doing the drill for him?
I really feel for Coach Yates. Hey maybe if the team came down with the flu it would be the coaches fault... or a kid forgets the play... Coaches fault. Our player runs for a first down and then fumbles.... Coaches fault.
This really does show the football IQ of a lot of "fans" out there.
Football is a contact sport and people get hurt. It happens and it will continue to happen. If you are blaming your childs injury on the coach then maybe you should sign your kid up for something else.

I am not blaming the coach for the injury, I am saying that when an injury occurs, the coach keeps the trainer away from that player so the trainer can't say the kid needs to set out a game or a practice, or even THAT practice! Do you attend VC practices? Do you attend VC games?? You have NO idea what goes on if you are not there! Or maybe you are Coach Yates, you sure have a woody for him. My advice to you would be to google " Jason Stinson", not even a tard like you would want a death on his hands.

Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll
What kind of practices are they running down there in Vinton County these days?
Have you talked to the administration about these practices?

Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll
We're whinning because there's hitting going on in practice? Man! Don't let Coach Lutz hear it.
"If you don't hit in practice, you won't hit in a game."

Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll
The only people whinning about "hitting" is fuzzhead and Bringdanoise. If I am whinning, then I am whinning about a kid getting injured and then denied proper medical attention. But once again, fuzzhead and Bringdanoise put the poor little coaches ahead of the players and their health.
Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll
Hater,
I was wondering if you have talked to the administration about injured players not getting medical attention when needed? Also, isn't the trainer at their practices for injuries?

I have not went to the administration. However, I would not be surprised if someone does or has gone. I know their has been more than 1 kid who has been injured during a game or practice and was told by the trainer not to go in and was made to. I know the coaches NEED to win, but it should not come above the kids health.

I never once said that hitting in practice was a problem, I am saying the exact opposite. You need to hit I am just saying you cannot blame a coach for a kid getting hurt... it happens.
No I do not go to practice each day and no I cannot attend every game... Do you? Are you on the staff? Do you sit in the coaches meeting and go over game plans?
I would never put a child in danger to win a game... and I know coach Yates wouldn't either or anyone on their staff. Sounds like you are getting second hand information and taking it as fact.
You can't believe everything you hear.

Hater,
I agree 100% the kids come first. I just think if this is happening(I am not saying it is not) then someone needs to take it to the administration and not just talked about it on a forum. I hope the Vikings heal and move forward on a positive note.

I know what you are saying about hitting in practice, but you were saying that I said they should not hit, or that I was blaming the coach for an injury, I never at any time did, I simply stated that when a player DOES get hurt, that player is DENIED attention from the trainer, or is told(by the coaches) to do the opposite of what the trainer has told them.
Yes, I go to EVERY game, Yes I have attended practices. No I am not on staff and I don't officially know the game plans, but since I did attend the first game this coaching staff had, then YES I do know the game plan, it is always the same.
You must not know the coaching staff very well, because it is a FACT that they have over ruled the trainer and had players practice or play in games when they have been told NOT to. It is not secondhand information, I saw it with my own eyes and heard it with my own ears. Sad BUT true.
Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll
A big problem I see with VC is they only use a couple of people on offense. I've seen a few of these boys running track and they have other talent. Maybe they need to look past the name if thats the case.

Hater Aid, I have been to practices and games, I have not seen what you are speaking of, if that was the case and these are serious allegations, then some one must be held accountable. But I find it hard to believe when we currently have 13 injuries and 7 are starters. So if they are doing what you say then they are NOT doing it very well.
Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll
Not hating, I want all area teams to succeed! I have watched (this year) some very fast boys that are not even being utilized on O. I do not know who your injured players are and maybe that is why there are only a few boys handling the ball but I suggest that your eyes not be so tunnel visioned when there are other athletes. Again not hating!

That is because you wear blinders, Hawk. Talk to a few of those injuried players. But that would do no good because everyone on here thinks the coach is ALWAYS right.

Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll
I am not sure about wearing blinders, I do consider myself a perceptive individual, but I could be wrong. However, you do understand that these are serious allegations? These are the kind of things that get coaches fired, arrested, and/or sued. More importantly, if you are correct, it can get kids hurt. So I say to you, if you are sure and you can provide proof and strong in your convictions, my God, talk to somebody, start with the Athletic Director. He should be able to answer your concerns and take the appropriate actions to keep kids safe.
Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll
Well if the coach is doing these thigs that would be bad,but to just stand by and let it go on without saying anything would be just as bad wouldnt it?
