Congratulations to all the recipients of SEOAL All-League. Do the individual high school coaches nominate these players and then the rest of the coaches vote? Just wondering how it worked. I guess I really was surprised Montgomery from Logan was not selected. He has to be one of the best goalies I've seen in high school play.

Looks like every team got three picks and Chillicothe getting four with Drew getting POY.

Yeh, I see that. So does each individual coach get three picks of kids on their own team, and that's how you get the All-League selections. Or does all the coaches look at other teams as well as their own and pick on who they feel are deserving? That's what I'm trying to understand. Anyone know?

In the SOC the first place team gets x amount of 1st teamers and x amount of 2nd teamers, the second place team gets less and the third place team gets even less all the way to the last place team. In all SOC sports the coach places who he wants on what team. When I was in high school the coaches actually voted. Sorta meant more to me then. Not sure about the SEOAL but looks suspicious.

Soccerfix. Thanks for the input. If your info is correct about the selection process then the all-league is the coach of any specific team deciding who is all league. Who knows better than the coach? Who would be more objective? He would know what the criterion should be for the selection?? You think!!!!!!!
