I cant see Belpre stopping Dyla, couldnt even do that last year with a better defense this is another L for Belpre, I hope the Eagles get a win soon, maybe when the players come back but then its into conference play which will even be harder for us, but im going to say Trimble 28 Belpre 0. Goodluck Eagles hope things can turn around. EW from Belpre is playing like a big man with alot of heart, the rest of the team needs to do that.

I don't want this to sound like I am bashing anyone but here is what I saw and believe that would help Belpre's O and D. This is only MY opinion and as you know we all have them right or wrong.

First of all. Offensive line we need to keep with our guy. If you lose him pick up another, keep with it. Don't stop until you hear whistle. There is no reason why the offensive lineman should be in the huddle before the RB gets back to his feet or the QB is back to his feet. Lineman should be one of the last to get back into huddle because you should be down field or still battling someone.

Second, it is obvious we can not run the ball very effectivly. The offence needs to get more creative. Offence needs to use alot more misdirection and allow all the hole then to develop. Unfortunatly, our line is unable to block the assigned task so if we go misdirection the time will allow for holes all over the field. Lineman then can just pick up anyone flying by. With the talent in the backfield with EW he can avoid most tackles when everything is misdirected or an assigned play is broken up.
We should probably not be under center we need to be in shotgun with 2 RB to each side in a T. This allows for the QB to watch the DE better and then he can either hand off with a crossing pattern to the RB or keep it himself (since he TW is a normal RB).
Use the TE!!!! Short yardage passing but most of it will have to be a play action.

Lastly,
Defensive lineman. When coming off the ball don't just stand up into the block fire low and please please use some technique in eluding the offensive lineman. Swim, reach, rip, run some stunts, twists, whatever. Right now we are just stepping into the block and our first step is stand straight up. That can't happen.
Secondary, I know we are very thin in this department but we have to do the basics. Secondary you are pass first and run second. We are wanting to come up on the run way to fast. We are getting burnt on the play action. Watch the TE he will tip you off alot of the time whether it is pass or run. Keep the WR infront of you...i repeat keep the WR infront of you!!!
Outside linebackers you have to hit your flats!! On a sweep take the first blocker on with your inside shoulder turn that running back up into the midde there should be a nice hungry Inside Linebacker or monster sitting there chomping at the bit. Do not Do not let that run get to the outside.
\
I think Belpre has the promise to win! Right now we are alittle out of position but it is what it is.

Again this is not to tell someone how to coach nor tell a player you are doing things all wrong. However, just my opinion on what I have seen and observed as an outsider. These are only my opinions and my opinions only. I nean absolutly no negativity to the team, coaches, players, and other involved with the program.

Please don't grade me on my spelling...I admit defeat in that department.

Better late than never, and you are correct, it begins and ends with the O&D line play period! Why Can't our big guys block?

Come on you guys are better than that.
Go eagles.

i think teams know that without ullman we are a run first, second and third down team and they are stacking the box. nothing against our other qb's, they have played their hearts out, but clay gives us a legitimate passing threat. hopefully when he returns the playbook will open up and the o-line won't have to try and block 8 defenders within 3 yards of the ball, thus creating more open space for the backs. i agree i would like to see more misdirection and trickeration, something to get some big plays going. come on guys, keep working hard!

go eagles!

i think this one may be closer than some think. both teams are hungry for that first win. early momentum will be important. the first team to hang their heads thinking "oh boy, here we go again" may be in trouble. the guys are upbeat and working hard. come out from the first whistle, be aggressive and smack somebody around! c'mon belpre fans, let's get fired up! give these boys the support they deserve! i'm calling for an "orange out" friday night. every student, parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, niece, nephew, in-law or whoever, let's pack ralph holder stadium! i wanna see faculty and administrators, all wearing orange. more importantly, i wanna hear ya'll! remember guys, success in when preparation meets opportunity.

go eagles!

Ok Belpre, it's up to you to keep the TVC OHIO undefeated against the TVC HOCKING this season! And if Belpre looses, we can pretend they joined the Hocking a year in advance to keep the Ohio undefeated against the Hocking! :122245

I think it will take a lot for Belpre to beat Trimble, with all of the key player losses at Belpre. Having said that, Belpre is always a tough place to play! And Trimble can take a look at NY and see that if one team can give the Buckeyes absolute fits in the league over the years, it's been Belpre! They always find a way to stay in the game in most years, even when they lose. And that is a sign of a good team.

Tomcats beware.........strange things happen on the football field in Belpre when you hear the train approaching!
