Hey Cavs, The will have 1 Big ten player? I looked back in all the games this past weekend and I cant find where 1 player beat any TEAM!!! It may be a close game, and this 1 player might make a play to keep it close. But Ill take NY by 3 scores. TO BIG TO STRONG 4 QUARTERS!!! BUT....if NY goes into it cocky....ANYTHING can happen!! If they come into it focused......it will be a re-run of last Friday night and the ones before!!

I am a lifelong, die-hard Buckeye Backer but I am not a BLIND Buckeye Backer. I can recognize the NY isn't the end all be all. I have to agree with buckeye_nut. If NY goes in cocky, there could be problems. Although we won handily last night we had far too many mental mistakes. League teams will not allow us to get away with how we played in the third quarter last night. If the Bucks stay focused on one team at a time, I think we will beat Wellston. If we start believing the hype, we are going to get taken down a notch by someone. Wellston is perfectly capable of being that someone. Go Bucks!

I think they stay focused but they are always reminded the Bullseye is on their back in the TVC Ohio. Everyone wants to knock you off the top spot. I think they take this challenge very seriously. They must.. It'll be a good game because Wellston wants to be the one to beat the Buckeyes and the Buckeyes want to stay on top. Good luck to all. I know there will be some hard hitting going on in this one.

After seeing Nelsonville-York Friday - I just don't see anyone stopping them ... They don't have any weaknesses ... They are quick, they run the ball well, they pass well, they play outstanding defense and they even have a kicking game. I was definitly impressed with everything the Buckeyes did against Logan ... For Meigs, Wellston, Alexander and even Athens to beat NY - they will need the Buckeyes to make some critical mistakes ... If they don't, NY goes (10-0) IMO.

Officially the series is 28-10 in favor of Buchtel. 2007 Buchtel won on the field ,however they broke the rules played a player that was ineligible and was forced to forfiet. So the correct score for 2007 is Wellston 2 Buchtel 0. This is the offical score by the state.

The Buckeyes cannot underestimate anyone from here on out.
This week it is a very good Wellston,,, no one else.
One game at a time...........
Study the scouting report, have a good week of practice, and get it done on the field.......

Nelsonville. They'll take this relatively easily but I don't expect a monstrous blowout. I'd say something like 28-6 or 34-13. Something like that.

U mean Ny finally plays someone with an above 500 record? Funny how I see NY bashing other teams on threads about their schedule. The teams the bucks have played is 8-16. They have played some not very good teams this year. They are just above Alexander in this regard atleast this season.

There isn't any way you can reasonably compare the schedule of Alexander to the one N-Y has played. The teams on their schedules may have similar records but the level of competition is completely different.

King, c'mon, you can't be serious. We have played Trimble every year forever, they are our most hated rival and they regularly win the league and make the playoffs. Newark Catholic is usually a tough team, usually make the playoffs, have won numerous state titles and they actually beat us at home last year. Berne Union, although down now, beat us just a couple years ago. Bishop Ready plays tough competition and 2 weeks before they played us they beat Fredericktown. When we agreed to play D2 Logan, they were still a good team and no one had a clue that they would be winless this season. Unlike many schools, NY doesn't "schedule down" or get into a league full of much smaller schools so we can beat up on them and make ourselves feel better. We try to "schedule up" to get wins that will help us get into the playoffs. Sometimes, it doesn't work out the way we plan, but at least we are not scheduling Waverly and Frontier every year.

Waverly has had some very good years over the past decade.
