Week 6 Ironton @ Jonathan Alder
Re: Week 6 Ironton @ Jonathan Alder
I think Ironton can win out if they quit running down the field then passing in the red zone. Work those horses..

Re: Week 6 Ironton @ Jonathan Alder
i have alot of confidence in the fighting tigers, coach lutz has literally had the kids through hundreds of big games like this. there are too many to even recall that we were not supp. to be in. that we won. we just gotta take 1 game at a time, quit worrying about playoff positioning. and hang onto the ball, use our timeouts wisely, and mix up our game plan. and anybody that thinks ironton's schedule is easier outside the seoal, need to take another look at their schedule.

u never cease to amaze me......sounds like a great battlefield plan, did u learn all that in the NCO AcademyFIDO wrote:Maybe Ironton has played to the level of their competition.
Maybe Ironton hasn't played all their cards, waiting for this stretch of games.
Maybe Ironton steals a win in a close game.
Maybe coach Lutz has been generic on "O" for a reason, even though they threw for over 150 yds last game.
Maybe coach Lutz is being sly like a fox.

I am going to bring this up for discussion at the Staff Meeting today and see what the fellas think about it..........

Maybe Ironton is just not as good as they have been the past couple of years?
Re: Week 6 Ironton @ Jonathan Alder
Then again maybe Ironton is and just needs to Jell with a young line this is a team not be over looked alot of teams would love to be 4-1 at this point and looking good for the playoffsAHM wrote:FIDO wrote:Maybe Ironton has played to the level of their competition.

Who do you think will overlook them? Alder? Jackson? Hartley? Not on your life. Those teams are all too veteran, too well coached.
I think the real Ironton 'insiders' saw this coming. Lost of great players to replace from both the 2009/10 seasons. There are still really great players for the Tigers, but just not near as many especially for this schedule.
It will be interesting to watch the injury situation during these next three weeks as well. It will be a grind.
Re: Week 6 Ironton @ Jonathan Alder
I have no doubt that any team that will play the tigers this or any year better be on their own game if they wanna win. Down a bit for the tigers doesn't really mean as much as it may for other teams. Lots of respect for the tigers and their coaching staff.

The General said I could come out and play but I have to be home by dark.......FIDO wrote:THe Chief Leadership Course was very enlightening. I'm going to be in town for a short visit. Are you going to be available on the 10th of Oct? More than likely it just is what it is. Good Luck Ironton Friday.
Re: Week 6 Ironton @ Jonathan Alder
You know what Ironton will be just fine because they got another great player back and they have a great coach who knows how to win.
And that just helps to make players believe in then self's

Re: Week 6 Ironton @ Jonathan Alder
Unless Ironton wants history to repeat itself the Tigers had better be extremely mentally and physically tough. Alder dominated Ironton last season. They came into Tanks very emotional and determined to impose their will. Alder plays with a bullys mentallity. They will try to intimidate and get in your head. They always look to get that extra lick in. The best way to beat a bully is to not back down and give it right back. Ironton has to start strong, match the intensity, execute, limit mistakes, and stick people. Look, Alder is well coached, talented and hungry. Not to mention Ironton has that long bus ride. Ironton will have to play possibly its best game to even have a chance. But it can be done.

I'm pulling for Ironton to escape with a win, but I tend to believe that Alder could win by a large margin. Good luck Tigers!!!!

Re: Week 6 Ironton @ Jonathan Alder
I've been to every game and Ironton is better than the stat box That Gallipolis game was no indication. That field was crap tons of slips no leverage on either side. Ironton could of scored at least 4 times. Ironton has its best football ahead of them. This is where the season begins. Ironton to win 28-14
