This is a tough game to predict. I watched Portsmouth defeat West and I have watched Jackson defeat Wellston and Waverly. Based on what I saw in those games I believe that Jackson will come away from this game with a close victory over the Trojans. Waverly and Portsmouth are two very similar teams in regards to their talent at the "skill" positions. Jackson was able to withstand a quick surge at the start of the game by Waverly and come away with a hard fought win. I could see something very similar happening this week for Jackson against Portsmouth.

I will say jackson by 10, they play so many kids that come the end of the 3rd into the 4th they are still ready to go. Kudos to the new coach for conditioning and using a good number of the kids to play only go to build his program in the future and get more kids to come out and want to play knowing that if they work they will be rewarded. Still should be another great SEOAL game!!

I really like The Trojans to rebound in this one. Despite the lopsided loss to Wheelersburg I have seen some improvement in quite a few areas for the Trojans over last season. I can't see us as a playoff contender but I am not ruling out 5 or 6 wins which I would consider to be a decent improvement over last year. Obviously, Ironton and Chillicothe will be uphill climbs for us but I can't rule us out in any of the other games yet. A big key is putting the Wheelersburg game behind us quiclky.

I went to Portsmouth last two games and I think they're sloppy. They arent very well conditioned and seem to be dead tired at the end of the games. I see Jackson taking this one by a few TD's

If Jackson can shut down Portsmouth's QB, will have no trouble winning. But he is a very good, and can cause some trouble. I still think Jackson will come out on top, their new coach will lead them to a win.

I don't know what team you were watching this year, but it wasn't the Trojans. They are in good shape and were the more physical team the first 2 weeks. Last week they were just out played in every aspect of the game. The Trojans will win this game by 2 scores and last week will be a distant thought. Because if they are 3-1, and 1-0 in confernce then people will give some respect back to this team. 5 more wins and this team will make the playoffs. GO TROJANS!

After last week's loss to Wheelersburg, Portsmouth will do one of two things this week. They'll dwell on the loss to the Pirates and let that carry over to this week, or they'll realize it's something they can't change and come out hungry to get back in the win column. My bet is that they'll come out ready to play.

The Trojans have a lot of talented athletes at the skill positions. With guys like Myers, Simpson, Royster, Reeves, and Jackson, Portsmouth is VERY dangerous. When I saw them in Week 2, I also thought that the Trojans looked to be pretty good up front too. In order for Jackson to win, they'll have to win the battle at the line of scrimmage, while also containing Portsmouth's talented corps of receivers and backs. Offensively, I would expect Jackson to utilize the passing game a little more this week. The running game will be important as it usually is for a Jackson team, but I think they'll have to keep Portsmouth off balance with the passing game also. It's going to be a tough task for the Ironmen, but I'm confident that they can get the job done.

Penalties have been a huge problem for Jackson throughout the first three weeks. SEOAL play is here now and those mistakes will certainly cost you football games. Jackson needs to cut out those mistakes, continue to take care of the football, play four quarters of focused football, and they'll get the result they're looking for, in my opinion.

I have watched PHS the last 2wks. Yeah the burg owned the trojans but also to say that Phs dominated West is a hugh overstatement, had it not been for a West fumble and a punt return when the return man was penned on the sideline at their own 30 come on. west rallied in the 2nd half. To get really pumped up think about the south point game 14-0 at the half. sounds to me Phs hasnt dominated anyone this is why Jackson will roll. "3scores at least" remember 3-7 at best this year for the mighty trojans. Bank on it!!!!

I believe the South Point score was 6-2 at the half..........againest West, the same could be said for Portsmouth........had it not been a fumble by Portsmouth and another screwup inside the 3 yard line..........this score could have been different. As for the 3-7 year for the mighty Trojans-"Bank on it".......you must be like the other banks........failed and needed help or went totally out of business!
