As I made my way around the "Pat" last Friday... I seen many people yelling while wearing both Purple and Gold, and Black and Red. The yelling at the end of the game from what I heard, had to do with either the officials or the "clock operator" not running the clock on CG's 2nd and long play that resulted in the player being stopped in bounds and short of a first down. Whether the crew didn't wind the clock, or the operator didn't wind it is the biggest question. I thought it took a lot away from a well played ball game by 2 good football teams. I thought the game was called very well up to that point... and this was a week after the same crew seemed to sleep walk through the Valley-Rock Hill game just about as much as Valley did. But to laugh that there wasn't a clock stoppage of around 15 secs before the next play, and to attribute Valley being in the game because of CG mistakes is very short sighted. I give CG credit for being a talented team and for playing a tough ballgame, but that was 2 evenly matched football teams with contrasting styles.

Anyway, the Grove will be going for win #470 friday.
It's just about mid-week. . . still not too much trash talk on here.
I figured pappy would be talking some smack on this thread!

Last time Minford and Coal Grove faced off at 3-0, Minford traveled to Coal Grove. Seems like deja vu all over again and I feel it will have the same result. Heres to another great game in the series and hopefully an injury free to both sides.

both these teams play each other tough every year but I think Minford is a little more talented than Coal Grove so I'll take Minford 21-7

Also, for anyone that didn't already know... Coal Grove is NUMERO UNO in the region. First time in QUITE some time.

Check it out for yourself: http://www.joeeitel.com/hsfoot/2009region_19.html

That was a lot of hard hitting in that game as well. Helmets flying everywhere.

Coal Crove barely beat Meigs and i saw them last week, (not impressed)!
I saw Minford, they are fast strong deep and well coached!

Minford 21-7

No, Minford was not on this poll because of their schedule, nothing personal.

I'd say that all three teams RV has played this year have looked fast, strong, deep, and well-coached.

I think that all the game film the CG coaches watch this week wont help them at all for what is going to be coming to Coal Grove Friday night!

Last year I thought that West looked slow watching them on the internet play Valley.....in person they were very quick.

You will see a very fast Minford team.

I have a feeling alot of fine tuning was made between last week and this week and you will be in for a very talented and disciplined Minford squad that has a statement to make.

It will be a great game.
