WK4 Minford @ Coal Grove

Those officials were HOMERS Minford beat a good CG team AND 4 ZEBRAS and they didnt LOSE they still won. VERY good win for Minford....congrats!!!!!

It looked like the officials might have gotten a good talking to at halftime from the HOME team admins because they sure turned it around the second half.

I heard from a Coal Grove fan that a couple of the officials were also baseball coaches? at the Grove? Any truth to that Fuzz or any of the other Coal Grove posters? Not a knock, just curious.

Minford showed alot of guts and grit tonight and just PUT IT TO CG the second half. Great job to Daniels, Mattis and the entire coaching staff cause you absoultely out coached them again for thte 3rd year in a row.

Great job to the team and entire staff.....it was definitely a group effort to pull that win out under those circumstances.

Delawder and #34 (Hayes?) sure played a heck of a game tonight for the Grove. Good luck to you and I see a real possibility that these 2 teams may meet again.

Once again Minford's speed and athleticism prevails as again the better team in a dogfight of a game.

Had to go to this one instead of watching Ashland beat the Tigers There were many bad calls against BOTH teams. Bad officiating for both the Grove and Minford from where I was sittin'

ARE YOU CRACK???? you must have been sitting in Siberia if thats what you saw. Worst officiating I have ever seen and i watch ALOT of games. Ball spotting was terrible...TERRIBLE and lop sided.....VERY LOP SIDED!!!!

What about the late hit on the kickoff after the go ahead score, how about the refs ignoring us at the end when we wanted to call timeouts, this isn't Scioto County, there are no HOMER refs.


I wasn't going to go here but I will, Minford you have a good team, not great but good, but you have the rudest a$$ fans I have ever saw, I once had Meigs in that spot but you guys by far blew them away.

I can honestly say I had never seen those refs, they not baseball coaches the Grove thats for sure, and call a spade a spade the refs handled that game on both teams, don't make it sound like Minford was getting bad call after bad call, the Grove was right there, like I said at the begining of the week, the Grove gets more penalties at home then on the road, so there is no home field advantage at the Pat

First off maybe Minford fans wouldnt be so rude to CG fans if you would give respect where it is due. You havent beat Minford the entire series (All have been good games though). Now anyway as for the officiating it sucked PERIOD both ways they made several bad calls with maybe a couple more in CG favor. CG is a D*** good team I was very impressed with them tonight, best CG team I have seen. I stand corrected because I was not very high on them untill seeing them in person tonight . Best of luck to them the rest of the season.

The ref comments are priceless.

Way to show some class, Minford fans: win and then whine about the refs.
The refs were awful both ways. . . it balanced itself out. You guys are just upset about the supposed safety no-call.

Congrats to both sides on a hard-fought game. I expect to see both teams in the playoffs.
Coal Grove shouldn't lose a game for the rest of the year.

And just stop with the douchey patronage. There was no class after the game, don't try to act classy now.

Great win Minford. Good comeback


I stopped and watched the last 8 minutes of the game and where was the defense? When I got there it was 20-18 CG. CG scored to go up 28-18. Minford got the ball back and scored in about 4 plays to cut it to 28-25. Then for some reason CG comes out and runs 3 straight dive plays and gives the ball right back to Minford. Minford took it right down the field in about 8 plays and scored to take the lead. We left before the KO to avoid the mass exit of the fans.

Someone talking about Minford's fans, what about CG's? Had some guy for CG, he was about mid 40's just start yelling at some young guy who was cheering for Minford. The young guy then just threw up his hands and left, so evidently that must have not been the first incident between the two. After he left, another couple that was from Minford was standing there when the woman went over and said something to the guy. he must have said something pretty bad because when she came back over by her husband, they started mouthing and that is when a CG cop screamed at the CG guy to shut his mouth. They kept talking to each other, so the cop yelled at them again. That prety much ended it. Don't know what the lady said to him, but it must have set him off. This all happened in the endzone down towards the scoreboard, so don't just single out the Minford fans. Didn't see any of them doing anything but cheering for there team.

Fuzz I am more upset with the call on the two point conversion that would have made it 20-20 Bryan had the ball in the endzone I was standing right there. As for the safety call I agree with that call probably the only one the refs got right all night

Great Win for Minford, glad to see us comeback! I liked getting to see us throw it around a little we looked good when we did. Have a good week of preparation and get ready for Oak Hill next week! Coal Grove did look pretty good tonight though they played a really good game, pretty tough when they grounded the ball out. Good Luck the rest of the season CG!
