Great win by the Falcons tonight, the really good teams find a way to win in adverse situations. I think the some of the cg fans are just sour that their team has been straight up out coached for four years in a row, Minford's D only allowing 8 points after half-time is proof of that. Minford needs to carry this momentum on through the rest of the season. Falcons should move into the top 4 in the region after this win, maybe even some AP love, maybe. :122245

The SOCII is going to be tough. Wheelersburg should be a loss. Valley and Waverly could easily be losses.
It'll probably be 9-1 for both CG and Minford, though. And certainly both teams should be in the playoffs.

I will make this simple. When you took discipline out of school, you set yourself up for problems down the road. Now a parent can be arrested for discipline in his/her own home. Lack of respect for people in authority is a guaranteed result when there is no penalty for doing wrong. People who used to referee games were looked upon with the utmost respect, and were honorable members of society. Now it is a minor miracle just to get enough officials regardless of experience to call games. Who would want to put themselves in a no win situation every week? People with a big heart, or no brain for sure! I've done it, but I won't ever again, because they aren't really needed. Just look at all the referees that were in the stands tonight.

Great game by my Falcons! They showed a lot of heart, and desire!

CG played a great game, my hats off to a very talented team. They showed alot of speed, which surprised me, and alot of guts. There's no doubt they will make it to week 11. Good luck to them, maybe we will meet again.

Great job by the Falcon's coaching staff! The play calling was great, they really mixed it up tonight. Even though they were stopping #15 they still found ways to move the ball. #7 really stepped it up tonight, and looked good. #20 and #23 were awsome, they really showed how quick they are, and how much desire they have. The O line done a great job, I was really impressed with there blocking tonight.

The Defensive coaching was just as impressive. After a rocky start the really played well the second half. #27 and #3 really stepped it up tonight. As well as all of the D-line. They did a great job, and put pressure on CG's QB all night. The linebackers looked alot better, especially in the second half. The D-back did a great job coming up and helping stop the run.

It was a great game, even though the ref's really sucked. It was like being at a playoff game, there was so much excitement, and great football. I hate that someone had to leave disapointed, both teams deserved to win. CG shouldn't hang there heads, they played a great game, and have a great team.

This was kinda my thoughts too. maybe a rematch here @ the Pasture Of Pain !

As for CG, I still think the Delawder Boy is by far the best athletic on the whole team. Good Luck run the table!!

My hats off to Minford in a 31-28 win. They showed alot of heart coming back from 10 points down with less that 5:00 left in the game.

Grovers,

Don't lose heart over this one. Yeah, it stings no doubt about it; but there are brighter times ahead this season. Put this one out of your minds and get fired up to beat Greenup. We've got a great team to be proud of - good kids, good coaching staff - and if the guys keep their heads up and play like they played tonight, they'll crush every team left on the schedule. There's nothing to be ashamed of; there were no losers on that field tonight.
I'm proud to be a Grover and I'm thankful for the opportunity to get to watch this bunch play every friday night.

it was a great game both teams battled the ref's wasnt the best, but i promise they wasnt from cg. on one play both teams got away minf was a false start and the grove was a pass interference neither was called but that was the way it went tonight both sides got a few and lost a few but the 2point conversion wasnt in i was in the endzone even seen it on a camera he hit the ground and bounced. but it dont matter the kids on the field played hard an awsome game win or lose. to me the worst thing was seeing teammembers yell at oneanother its one team if one has a bad play pick him up for the next one. this happened a few times tonight for coal grove on offence and defence. both teams played a great game spoiled fans from both sides. hope both teams do make it to the playoffs would be a awsome rematch. goodluck to minford for the rest of the year. lets go grove get ready for next week keep those heads up high.

Wow, what a game! It smelled of USC vs. OSU. Still trying to get that horrible taste out of my mouth from last Saturday and this doesn't help much. Congrats to Minford! Photos will be up around noon tomorrow. These are my personal best football photos yet. Please be sure to check them out!

This was a fantastic game and both teams played their hearts out. Coal Grove was as good as advertised and so were the Falcons. This was a total team effort from an early FG that was set up by a nice catch by #81 Price, to great catches by # 87 McKnight and another great catch by # 25 Taylor that also kept a drive going for a TD. There were also great receptions by the backs and # 15 Slone, #20 Bryan, and # 23 McCormick played their hearts out. Of course the passes aren't completed without the QB and # 7 Oesch had a great game passing and had one heck of a run. You don't rack up 31 points without the line doing a great job, so kudos to those guys as well. # 3 Piguet had a HUGE return that led to a 2nd quarter touchdown that kept things close in the first half and # 12 Hackworth was a major factor in the game with by kicking 2 FGs, not to mention the PATs.

The defense really stepped it up in the 2nd half and that was what made the difference and led to Minford scoring 2 TDs in the final 5 minutes of the game. Minford did what they needed to do and won the 2nd half. The coaches did a great job preparing the kids for the game and the never quit attitude showed how much heart these kids have. It was good to see the intensity on both sides of the ball last night.

This was a huge win for Minford. Good luck to Coal Grove on the rest of your season as they should finish 9-1 as I expect them to roll through the rest of their games.

Celebrate today and tomorrow Falcons and then it is time to get ready for Oak Hill. This will be another HUGE game next Friday. Congrats Minford.

First things first. Coal Grove is for real. Outstanding group of athletes. Good luck the rest of the year.

Secondly. Minford showed tonight they have what it takes to play the tough schedule coming up.

Third. The Minford fans were VERY supportive of the team last night and the team fed off of the energy. Big win for the community.

This was an impressive performance by both teams , I just think Minford made the proper defensive adjustments and the kids wanted it more in the end.
