Now about the game. OHBuckeye, you will have to get there early to sit on the Burg side, but yes you are moren that welcome to. The middle section is reserved and the ends are open seating.


As someone said on another thread, this is a must win for the Pirates. A loss here could make it rough to make the playoffs. VASJ looks like they might have some nice skill players so will be a good test for the Burg defense.

Whatever happened happened for a reason. PMOW3 is a class act and TheMalteseFalcon triggered a response?? No worries. Were all adults and can get over it. Burg needs to be up to speed. VASJ runs a staggered eye. Fullback 1 yd behind the QB. HB 1 yd behind the FB. Another RB offset from the right or left of the HB. And they run between the guards or off tackle. If run correctly and executed by the Oline, its a monster to stop. Never know where the ball is. Gap assignment is critical. They arent big, they arent small, but I think we can take em. Disciplined football and TEAM effort will be needed Saturday night!!

Hope the Pirates can pull this one off. It is always nice to see one of our teams beat them northerners. I will be there, since it's on Saturday. I watched the Pirates play Ironton, and was impressed with the way they came out the second half. The coaches made some changes, and really slowed Ironton down. Who knows what would have happened if they would have played 5 quarters. I'm not saying that they would have won, but they were moving the ball some, and really looked better on defense. And after the Portsmouth game, I think they really have a good chance at this one. They can do anything on offense, pass or run, hopefully their defense will be ready. Good Luck

Don't know where everyone's getting that this is some kind of must-win for Burg. They are the tops of a pretty darn good conference which they should win w/out losing a SOCII game. The Pirates could probably go 7-3 and still make it.

I agree 7-3 most likely gets the Pirates in the playoffs but a loss tonight could make it tough to host based upon the lack of 2nd level points that PHS, SP and RH would give them. With as good as the SOC 2 is this season, this is a big win game for the Pirates headed into their conference schedule.

If they play a solid ball game, I think the Pirates take this game by 2 TD's.
