Alex wins, but this game will be closer than what many are thinking. Belpre is showing signs of life, they played pretty well last night, just ran out of gas.

If Belpre gets more of their kids in street clothes in uniform this week, this could be an interesting game. The Golden Eagles only dressed 26 last night, and if they can get four or five more dressed, they could make a game of it, for 48 minutes.

Belpre begins its final tour of the TVC OHIO. Lots of long-time rivalries will come to an end in the next several weeks.

Belpre is slowly improving each week. They played a good first half but fell apart in the second. Hope the orange and black make a big jump this week and get the rest of their players dressed and play theor hearts out for 48 minutes. Belpre will have a few more starters back this week. This should help with where their weaker spots have been. Alex will have to prepare alittle different than the past 3 teams. They won't have any tape on the starters that will b back this week. This will b Alex disadvanage. Just not sure though that will be enough but that is why we play the game.

You are right Otterslide,with the players they have returning this week,the offensive side and defensive side of the ball will be greatly improved. They will have more depth and experience at receiver,tailback and in the secondary where they really need help.I don't know if it will be enough to pull off a victory against a pretty good Alexander team but I'm sure it will give them a better chance of doing so.Good luck and lets go Eagles!!!

belpre will have to use their speed this week as they face what appeared to be a very big alexander team, at least on tv. i watched the replay of week 2 game alex vs trimble, man sparty got some corn-fed boys! very physical. it appears coach arno has that program headed in the right direction. i still think belpre can win this game. defense will need to step it up a notch now that we are in tvc ohio play. offense is coming along. i agree getting starters back will help a good bit. we should see the true 09 eagles this week. remember guys, regardless of what has happened the past three weeks, everyone is 0-0 in league play. keep workin' hard.

If the Spartans win 2 or 3 in league play, they will be either 5-5 or 6-4. I can't remember the last time the Spartans finished .500 or better, but I'm guessing it was when they were still in the Hocking Division which I think was 1998 and before. Trimble isn't a bad team and Eastern is 2-1 on the season. Seems like you do a lot of Alexander bashing on these threads and you might just get surprised.

Belpre has a big advantage being at home, and with some starters returning from injury. Belpre will be hungry for their first win, and had a taste in the first half against Trimble. Alexander had better be ready for some hitting, and can not take this game lightly.

Alexander is 3-0, with 128PF and 68PA. Belpre is 0-3, with 31PF and 138PA. None of that will matter on Friday night---throw the season W-L records out the window for this TVCO game.

I think execution on offense, depth, and conditioning will be the difference in this one. I pick Alexander to win on the road.
