Marietta 11 17 2 24 -- 54
Warren. 11 16 8 14 -- 49
Marietta didn't play their best game as they usually don't vs. Warren, but they stayed with it and won it at the end when it was "nip and tuck". From 5:52 in the 4th until 0:40 when Maegan Grosel hit two FTs to put Marietta up by 4, the differential was never more than 2 points. From about 2.5 minutes left when it was 46-46, Marietta hit all 8 FTs for the remainder of their points. Marietta's biggest lead was 18-11, while Warren's was 35-29. Both teams shot FTs pretty well, 70%(W), 73%(M).
JV -- Marietta 50-36

Congrats to the Marietta Lady Tigers and their Seniors on a great season so far. You are coming down to the wire with one season, but another is just beginning. POST SEASON You can make a great run in the tourney and show people how good you really are.
Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
Congrats to the Lady Tigers on the SEOAL title, and going thru the regular season playing no team you haven't beat. The remaining regular season question is will there be one or two league teams who split with you in the league, each winning at home, and will there be the same thing overall with either three or four teams?
Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
Marietta Tigers finish at 13-1 and 17-3 with the win at Ironton today. Of the several games I saw this season, I thought the best game I thought they played was the home win vs. Chillicothe. I didn't see this one today, but by the score it may have been their best played game this season. I think the best game played against Marietta this season, that I saw, was the loss at Chillicothe. I didn't see the loss at Pkbg South, but that could be a candidate for best game played against Marietta.

Congrats to the Lady Tigers on a great win this afternoon!! It was by far one of the best games the Lady Tigers have played!! Great way to end the season and start off your tournament play!! You girls can make a run in the tournament!! Good Luck on the rest of your season!!!
Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
Looks like the Tigers, to get a tourney run started and advance to the sectional final level, will likely have to beat a fellow league team a 3rd time, and an arch-rival team at that. A 3rd win in a season over another team is tough, and a 3rd win over an arch-rival is even tougher.
Re: SEOAL Scores and Standings
Hopefully Jackson will rebound from a couple big margin losses this week and get back to playing like they did at Ironton, and beat #4 seed McClain. Then take a shot for an equivalent sectional championship, likely against a #1 seed for a district semi-final spot.
