Really though..is that a possibilty? Has that happened at the Tank before? I've never been there..so I am just curious about that.

The 2005 Burg-Ironton game was moved to Saturday due to rains from the remnants of Hurricane Katrina. I doubt that southern Ohio gets that much rain over the next 24 hours, but it could be VERY muddy at The Tank tomorrow night.

My post was mainly a joke though.

You are right, we havn't had that much rain but it has rained enough to be pretty muddy, it's raining out right now.

I thought this was interesting as Calpreps.com predictions show that these teams in the Div. 5 and Div. 6 MAC would beat Div. 2 Logan head to head this year:

(D5) COLDWATER 28 - LOGAN 27
(D5) ST. HENRY 28 - LOGAN 26
(D5) ANNA 30 - LOGAN 28
(D6) DELPHOS SJ 38 - LOGAN 26

I'm still gonna stick with my prediction of 35-14..but honestly..if the Tigers did win..I wouldn't be shocked..if they can come out..get the run established..keep our offense off the field..don't make any mistakes..they will have a very good shot at winning..but that's just gonna be a tall order against this defense..I don't know if the Tigers can get it done.

The Tigers are always tough after a loss. I look for the wet conditions to slow Logan down and swing the game to the Tigers. This game will be very close, and if the Tigers are going to win they will have to hang on to the ball and limit their mistakes. I really think this will be a close game, with the Tigers pulling it out in the end.

Ironton 20
Logan 17

Congrats..you won a game in 1990 that I don't care about..cookie? The whole who has the better record thing might get someone else stirred up..but it's not going to with me..anything before I started watching football is meaningless to me..if I don't remember it..I don't care about it. Why the heck would I care what the outcome was during a game in 1929??? That doesn't affect me one single bit. The only win I care about is the next one, then the next, then the next..you get the point. Like I said..if that win in 1929 makes you feel good..so be it..I'm happy for ya!

Fan,

Great post. The teams you show that cal preps predicts would beat Logan are all from the MAC. As noted by their division they are all much smaller than Logan. This prediction really puts a damper on the popular SE Ohio whine that Logan is so big they should win. It shows that with proper coaching, preparation and attitude any school, any place, any where can win. So buckle up your helmuts in SE Ohio look NW and LEARN how to play. The Chiefs need better competition than SE Ohio is giving them.
