I'm a big Ironton fan and I do think they are back to playing Ironton Football. On the other hand beating a team as strong as Logan is going to be tough. If Ironton can play perfect, no mistakes, and possibly a little slip up from Logan then Ironton just might pull this off.

Ironton 20 Logan 14

alot of talk about rain. I dont think rain effects superior teams. In 1989 at Logan, the game was played in a downpour and the field was a quagmire. Ironton's o line was physically dominant and the game ended up as a 5 or 6 TD win for the more dominant team that night, which was Ironton.

I have heard alot of discussion on here about Logan being the more physically dominant team. If that is true, it doesnt matter if it snows oats, they will win. You are not going to play all games on plastic grass, so you have to be able to adapt to all conditions. I am sure if Logans defense and offense are as good as advertised, it wont matter to Logans coaches what the weather is.

Good luck to my Fighting Tigers. Lets get a win tonight and move on to Chillicothe next week.

I have only been to the Tank once that place is awsome what a place it is what High School football about!!! Saying that I dont think Ironton has the horse to stay with Logan so Logan 28-14. Now if the can contain Angle(which I dont think they can) They have a chance.

Ironton got shocked last week, and if Logan thinks that they are going to still have their heads hanging low this week, then you haven't paid attention to the teams down on the river, I believe Ironton will be more than ready, and I just hope for a game this big the Ironton faithful that I remember as a kid will fill Tank tonight and give the Tigers the support they need, I also hope if there are any Grovers that don't want to go to Greenup tonight go ahead and head to Tank and support not just Ironton, but Lawrence county and true Southern Ohio football, something those people up next to Columbus don't have any idea about.

As a Tomcat fan and someone who read this entire thread, I hope Ironton smacks Logan in the mouth tonight at Tank. For the first and last time ever " Go Tigers "

I don't think anyone in Logan thinks Ironton is coming in with their heads down. I hope Ironton plays with their absolute best effort.

I hope the Tanks is full. No doubt the rain will deter some people, but I know I'll be there.

Walker, the parking is about as good as any school I've been to in my opinion. Most of it cost a couple dollars (the school doesn't charge that but others do and in my opinion, it's worth it and they deserve it as they have volunteers to help everyone park. It's right beside the stadium as well)

http://www.irontonfootball.com/schoolmap.htm has a map of the school area which shows the parking areas. I'm not sure whether or not the university is still allowing parking this year? but I know the others are. If they university is, you'll know it as soon as you drive by

From the Herald-Dispatch

What to watch -- Logan: Led by quarterback Patrick Angle, the Chieftains have not lost an SEOAL matchup since 2003. Ironton: The Fighting Tigers have not beaten Logan since 1990. Ironically, this time last week, Ashland was saying the same thing in preparation for Ironton. Could a pair of two-decade streaks fall in two consecutive weeks?

A two decade streak was broken last week, now Ironton has the chance to be on the good side of a broken streak.

I think everyone understands the pride Ironton fans take in their program. I don't think anyone from Logan takes the Tigers for granted. I'm not sure about those other folks "next to Columbus" you refer to. I look forward to seeing Tanks Stadium and I'm sure we will all be greeted with warmth and respect. Ironton hanging their heads? Hardly! I know they will be ready to redeem themselves. I've tried to find an objective way to describe how Logan will approach this game and the best I can say is they will have all due respect for the Tigers. They will not, however, be intimidated by Ironton's past or the atmosphere of the game. Logan is a much different creature than what most Ironton fans remember from past years. They have grown in stature and expectations immensley over the past twenty years that Coach Amyx has been in control. They expect to win. I'm not guaranteeing Logan will blow out the Tigers or not even guarantee a win but I think the Ironton faithful will be impressed with the quality and character of this team and its following. We will definitely contribute to your gate totals tonight and you will hear from Chieftain Nation before the night is over. Good luck and good game!

What's Canal Winchester got to do with anything? Besides..they play some pretty decent ball up there anyways..so I'd say they have a decent idea.
