Re: Week 5 Logan @ Ironton
I'm not saying they favor Ironton, both radio crews agree the refs suck. I've switched back and forth because the first half I couldnt believe how bad Logan's radio said the refs were. WIRO guys are next to Logan's and the refs just plain suck. Mostly in Ironton's favor according to both stations. Score wouldnt be much different anyhow. Close game.
13-7 Logan now

Itown put up one hell of a fight! I must give credit to the Itown coaches after coming off the lost to Ashland last week. They had their boys ready. Nice job!

Re: Week 5 Logan @ Ironton
wow.. webcast goes down. logan has scored, but it was up in time for me to hear the missed pat.. argh.. great game . I dunno if either team would be proud to say it was a great effort for either of their teams. My opinion is, Ironton is much better than everyone thinks, but they are just beat up and have a heckuva schedule remaining, and their defense has proven themselves against this strong LOGAN team. It makes me wonder how they will fare into the post season. Logan just intercepts, to seal the game. I am proud as heck of these tigers, and well, REALLY wish logan the best, but question their play under pressure, their schedule has been emphasized, but i really dont think it is what is an example of what they need to get past regional championship, maybe with luck they will accomplish that. On the other hand, ironton must get healthy or have players step up that can believe in themselves and step up.. if Ironton can continue to win after these two losses, we will serve southern ohio proud in post season play. Logan just scores on a long drive and gets the extra two. I would have never believed this outcome, yesterday, even not knowing our players i mentioned were mentioned were hurt for the season, kauz im too busy during the week to keep up or find out. I'm just impressed with Ironton..... and very proud of course. I wish Logan nothing but the best, and hope that this physical tiger team opens their eyes for post season play(IF ACHIEVED), and LOGAN they can eventually take their first state championship. I also ponder upon our back, tres wilkes, on the sidelines, what would have been if he would have been in the game.. I just hope no player from either team is injured. good luck to both, and i soooo hope that the forums give respect, during posting of the post-game of this game.
One where i sealed my opinion on Ironton and their abilities because of effective defense, and the play of angle, which left me questioning whether or not he and his counterparts can be effective in one of the better divisions... tigers lose to 21-7 in a respectful effort by boyh squads!!! good luck , healthy status, and state championship dreams to both..
a final note, i thought i would hear plays like we faced against bellaire in the past years with the davis brothers, but, I am guessing our defensive lines were better now, and we were able to not let the game get out of complete control.. We were simply held on defense by logans' line, except for our scoring attempt.. PROUD TO BE AN IRONTON FIGHTING TIGER...

Ironton was ready. Wet field helped slow Logan's passing attack. Logan's defense held them to 7 pts.
Great job !
