Re: WK5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
After watching the Athens/Meigs game this is NY's game to lose...
The High Potent Meigs Offense is not the same without Bolin which most likely will be out for this contest...that puts a ton of pressure on QB Well and RB Smith along with a weapon I feel Meigs should utilize more #81 Caleb Davis who did the most damage against Athens...
NY's Derek Arnold should find no problem running through the Meigs defense...look for Arnold to put up some big numbers on the ground as NY's should get out to an early lead and should look to run the ball to run the clock for most of the 2nd half...
Meigs will add a score at the end to make it respectable but this game should be all Buckeyes...
NELSONVILLE-YORK (4-0) -- 34
MEIGS (1-3) ----------------- 20 FINAL

I look for NY to exploit the meigs secondary early, then go to the ground game and pound it out!

Re: WK5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
Meigs does possess a decent pass rush but if your QB can throw on the run the secondary breaks down allowing the opertunity for plays to be made. Meigs was a little tougher opponent than the scoreboard showed as the final v/s Athens. Meigs just never got into a rythm and made to many unforced errors ie turnovers and costly penaltys. Look for this one to be a little closer than N-Y would like as Meigs is pretty good playing at home.
Re: WK5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
i just can't figure this team out. so i'm going to say, meigs can win but they are going to have to earn it.

fasteach I couldn't agree more. Meigs can win this game but N-Y is obviouslly good again and for the "upset" to occuur Meigs will have to play their best football yet and earn the win. N-Y will not lay down for anyone in any week, meigs has the talent to win if they can put together a complete game but, I still like the Bucks in this one.
Re: WK5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
you can bet your leash dog nelsonville won't lay down.
i'm all in with meigs but this week um boy you better work

Re: WK5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
Last Friday vs Wellston I felt we mixed up our O a lot and it was excellant to see..... Seeing how Athens did the same vs Meigs, NY will do the same this Friday I think it will be close because going to Pomeroy is a tough trip but we seem to played well down there during Coach Boston's time as head coach I think this trend will continue NY by 2 TD's
Re: WK5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
NY by 3 tds....but good luck to both teams hope both teams stay healthy

Re: Week 5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
This game is at Pomeroy which will help Meigs . The Buckeyes will play every down ,and I like their new Offense .Meigs will , like Wellston keep it close early then Nelsonville will pull away late.

Re: Week 5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
NY plays keep away with their ball-hogging ground game, this game won't be very close. Arnold picks up 175 yards plus, and mix it up a little bit with the air attack, Buckeyes win going away.
Meigs starts tackling, and NY commits a few turnovers, things could get interesting. The wildcard in this game will be special teams. Meigs picks up a score off special teams, could get interesting........

Re: Week 5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
I get ya NY BUCKS...true statement but,
If NY is passing alot two thing may be happenin'
*Derek Arnold is running the ball (which most teams would love to see him not running through their defense)
*And NY passing gives Meigs a better chance to stop the NY Offense, because its not easy to stop an NY Run Attack...
I know that NY has a pretty decent Pass attack up there in Buckeyeland...

Re: Week 5 Nelsonville-York @ Meigs
NY's passing game is continuing to get better and looks really good at times but I still think we have to make them stop Derek first. If we can throw it when we want, not when we have to, I like our chances against anybody we play.
