Re: What time does everyone get up in the A.M.?
I grew up on a dairy farm, and we got up about 5:00 AM to milk the cows.
Later, after I left home, I became an RN, worked day shift, and had two school-age children; so I was still getting up at 5 AM to allow myself time to pack lunches for my kids, think about our evening schedule and what to fix for supper before I had to get myself ready to leave for work.
Still later, after my kids left home, I switched to night shift, had to get up about 9:30 or 10:00 PM to get myself to work on time, and swore I'd never get up early in the morning again.
Now that I'm retired, I usually find my eyelids flying open for absolutely no reason at all between 5:00 and 6:00 AM. Sometimes I can manage to get back to sleep; mostly I have to get up.
But no matter which I've done, I still get really sleepy midafternoon, and find myself wakeful around midnight or even later through the night - old night shift waking/sleeping habits are hard to shake..

On my work days I get up at 3:15 a.m. and return home at 7p.m. Long, long days, 13 1/2 hour shifts!

Re: What time does everyone get up in the A.M.?
Since I work a shift from 5:30 pm until 5:30 am I don't get up in the morning. I usually get in bed around 6 am and get up somewhere between 1 and 2 pm. Even on my nights off I stay up really late and sleep until around noon. If I don't it messes up my sleep pattern.
