From what i see is that, you guys are trying to tell me that Trainer is going to rely his offense around the big guys..lol. No way. i have seen trainer coach and it relys around the play of the guards. last year the top 4 player were all guards. two of them return from last year, and dellotel added. those 3 will start all year long they will be your offense. ( just my opinion ) Burchett was a great rebounder last year, most likley the best on the team, He has to be a starter, he is a forward and is quick. your fifth starter will either be caseman, lawson, diduit or grahm. this is a guard offense, and trainer hopefully will play that way.
If he feeds the inside they will get beat, they dont play strong enough. they will shoot 3's ( about 15 of them) and they will drive to the basket.
Now Claypantherfan, you would no more about this than me. is the offense this year going to be around the guard play?

I dont really know who its going to be. Trainers not going to favor anyone from last year just cause you started last year dont mean your going to start this year. Hes gonna choose his starting line up by who practices the hardest and who shows up to conditioning. But good luck to all!

I can say that in the past two years Trainer has had a tendancy to play seniors who didn't belong on the court. Hopefully everyone who plays this year will earn their spot.

Well candystore , from what he said he wants to use this years big guys alot and wants to rely on them from how they played this summer all summer in shoot outs and summer leagues he is really going to depend on them alot and he has said it him self he thinks this years team the strength will be down low alot of games

The bottom line is there are 9 or 10 boys who could start on any given night and the team will not be any weaker. Not many coaches have that kind of depth on the bench. A wise coach once told me, it doesn't matter who starts a game, it's who finishes it.

They might all be back but Clay beat them pretty easily on the road and lost to them at home is a closer game, as I remember, using mostly sophomores. Shut down Tibbs and you can stop SV but Clay is going to have multiple scoring threats this year.

This year clay should play solid every game and stay consistent no matter who they play with all the talent on the team this year

I saw Clay's schedule on the schools website and wondered why they always start out with such tough games. Clay has 54 boys (per OHSAA) Scrimmages against South Gallia (100), West (180), Huntington Ross (158), Unioto (246),and then Waverly (253) in the previews followed the next morning by Jackson (301) .
Then they open the Season with Northwest (192), South Webster (116) and Minford (169). Hopefully they can win a few of these to keep their confidence up before they get into schools their size. I look for them to win 10 - 15 games this year but it will be a tough start.

Hey one way to look at it is playing bigger schools during the year usually means they are btougher to beat and really prepairs your team for the tournament when they play schools closer to them in size and talent.
