The Pens beat up the Bruins tonight in Boston.Final Score 3-0. I still dont know what all the hate for Cooke is.It was a clean hit in my opinion.I saw much dirtier stuff go tonight without a penalty even being called.Crybabies!

Boston fans went to the Garden tonight to see the fights and the Pens showed up to play good hockey.

1:58 into the game and Thornton drops his gloves to take on Cooke. That fight was a draw. I think Chara got the better of Rupp in the later fight but Rupp got a goal. That was only Rupp's 3rd fight.

Bruins had revenge on their minds instead of hockey. Pens out shot them 31-17 and Fleury was huge with 17 saves.

Now we now why the Pens won the Cup last year and the Bruins haven't won a Cup since 1972.

It looks worse than it really was as far as intent goes...The injury is bad to Savard, but it happens...I dont think Jack Tatum thought when he hit Stingley it would do what it did.I wish the best to Savard though.I saw all kinds of slew footing last night.Bruins sticking out knees trying to hurt someone.To me,thats dirty hockey.Open ice hits happen,and sometimes a arm comes up hitting someone hard.This one just really looks bad.

Red Wings 3 Pens 1

Zitterberg gets 2 goals as the Red Wing tards take one from the Pens in Deeeetroit. Red Wings are 9-2-1 since the Olympic break while the Pens, who started out 4-0, have dropped to 6-5 since the break.

Tomorrow night vs the Caps on the road. Pens can't catch the front running Caps but they are in danger of being passed up by the Sabres and the Devils who are just 2 points back. After the road game on wednesday, the Pens return home for their final 6 home games at Mellon Arena as it closes down. 9 games left in the season and the Pens need to be ready to ramp up their intensity for playoff hockey. They are playing flat as of late.
