Any local schools being closed down? I have been hearing of alot of swine flu cases in the area lately..I think even some Kentucky schools have closed?
Can anyone give more info? And how will it effect the rest of the football season?

Re: SWINE FLU
Where is everyone getting this swine flu crap?????
What I heard is that there is a doctor or two over in KY that are telling there patients that if they have the regular flu, that they probably have the swine flu also. Are you serious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, there is a chance of it being swine flu but it is not a death sentence. The only ones that are at a real risk are the very young, the elderly and pregnant women.
The best thing that everyone can do is to keep your mouth closed as much as possible(breathe through your nose) and wash your hands as much as possible. Buy a little bottle of hand sanitizer to keep with you. If you go to a public place, after you toucj a door handle, use it. Sounds a little OCD, but it might be what keeps you from getting sick

Re: SWINE FLU
Get a freaking flu shot for crying out loud. The locker room is a perfect breeding ground for these type illness. You stand a better shot of dieing from the regular flu than the swine flu. There are vaccines for the regular flu. Did you know over 30K people die every year from the run of the mill flu? Think about it folks. Get your players vaccinated, before you lose a game over the bug!

Re: SWINE FLU
Swine flu is the gov'ts way to scare ppl into thinking that they have this bad flu that isnt the flu but has the same symptoms as the flu. (But old ppl and kids and preg. women are more likely to get it!) DUH!! their immune system is weaker! Just like the reg. flu does!
This is a BS flu to get the ppl to go to the hospitals and more shots to make more $$$ boasting the economy a little more!!
ITS THE FLU!!!!!! THATS ALL!!!

Re: SWINE FLU
This is pretty well blown out of proportion for the majority of people. If you are a healthy adult you have little to worry about. Swine flu is significantly less deadly than regular flu for the majority of people. However if you are pregnant, and young child, or elderly you should get vaccinated. The last count I heard was 36k people have died since it has been identified. That sucks for those people, but that is only .00012% of the population in the US. BTW, this isn't the first swine flu outbreak, check out 1976...
A vaccination will be out in a week for those with the highest risks
