Oh - I didn't get your "firetruck" reference. Anyway, I live way down in the opposite end of town so I have no idea what the field looks like or what's going on in that vicinity at any given time.
J & K have mentioned a couple of "slips" in footing during the course of play; but apparently the field, while damp, is not totally sloppy. There is an IRONTON ALUMNI BAND playing along with the Million Dollar Marching Band for Homecoming, tonight. My son would love to be a part of that if he lived closer. I'll be on my way to Chicago to visit him next weekend - remind me to tell you his "band" story! The TIGERS are doing/sounding great. Hope you're feeling better soon.

The Tigers had a very good game tonight. Homecoming was really nice, I especially enjoyed the alumni band. They put on an excellent show! I hope they continue this in the years to come. Congrats Tigers on the win and good luck to Chillicothe with the rest of their season.

All around great team effort by the Tigers last nite.........and Chili came to play as well.............

I was really shocked at the fans Chili brought to the game........must be the travel factor again..........

How bout the IHS alumni band at half-time......put on a very nice show................

now on to Jackson and the Ironmen who improved to 6-0 last nite...........Dakotos will need some extra steaks next Friday cause the Tigers will bring a crowd..........

It was a very nice game. The band was awesome and so was the alumni band. The girls were beautiful and all of that but..as someone else pointed out..Chilli fans stayed at home! One of the most poorly attended games by a visiting team I have ever saw before in my life. It reminded me of Dayton Dunbar (I think it's Dunbar? is it?) but worse. The week before, there were a lot of empty seats over there as well. You take Ashland? last year they hadn't beaten Ironton in 18 years but their fans packed out the visiting seating. Russell brought a good crowd too. People can say what they want but a lot of these local Kentucky schools attend their games in far larger numbers

Chillicothe as a whole has very fickle fans. If we are 9-0 there will be a packed house ANYWHERE. If we are 1-4 only the parents will come. I wish Chilli fans would support the kids no matter what but, as sad as it is, that is the culture around here.
