Wheeler is due but with their injuries Jackson will hold him down

Wheeler is a VERY good back from what I have seen and heard. I think his O-line has been decimated by injuries, but I'm quite sure that Jackson has a ton of respect for what he, and the entire Marietta offense, can do. The Ironmen have to be ready to play on Friday, and I'm fully confident that Coach Hall and his staff will have a focused football team.

Wheeler has struggled to gain the same offensive performances since his offensive line went down with a few injuries. However he is a good back and will gain quite a few yards but the Jackson line will get to him eventually.

Jackson looks to be much improved so far this season and Marietta doesn't seem to have improved since week one. I take the Ironmen in this one 28-14.

Good luck to the Ironmen tomorrow night. You're undefeated right now...make sure you stay that way after tomorrow night! Marietta is not your typical 1-4 football team. Play hard, take care of the football, and get win #6.

Looks like we are in for another rainy night at Alumni Stadium. Good luck to both teams and hopefully it will be a good and injury free Homecoming game. Go Ironmen!!!!!!!

Good Game.
Neither team played tremendously but both teams battled and had to execute many big plays tonight.
6-0 is excellent.
I was GUESSING 5 wins....good job guys!

Congrats to the Ironmen on the win. It wasn't pretty tonight, but in the end, Jackson is 6-0.
Marietta played pretty well tonight, especially having to deal with so many injuries. Wheeler made some HUGE plays for them, and if it hadn't been for some crucial penalties, the game could have been even closer. Jackson's defensive effort wasn't what I really expected tonight, but they did make the plays when they needed them...big INTs by Kip Winchester. Offensively, you could tell that Jackson really missed Klay Arthur. It will be nice to have him and Meredith back in the lineup next week, but Ervin, Landrum, and Barr really picked up the slack tonight with those guys out.
Next week is Ironton on Senior Night. It's going to take a great effort from the Ironmen, but you gotta believe. I'm sure the Ironmen, and especially the seniors, will be ready to play.

Sorry to see the various injuries tonight during the game. Hope all the Tigers are okay.
Really sorry to see Jackson's Britton Johnson go down with what appears to be a broken bone in his upper arm. Britton has showed a lot of promise this season at the WR spot, but he has battled injuries all year. He just got back into action after trouble with a back/hip injury, only to suffer a season-ending injury tonight. Get well soon, Britton. Can't wait to see what you can do next year!
By the way, does anyone from Jackson know anything about Dewey Steppe? I think he injured his shoulder against Vinton County in Week 3 and I haven't seen him since.

ironman02....The word we received on Britton Johnson was that he broke his humerous bone in his arm.
Remember Reds' pitcher Tom Browning about 15 or so years ago? He broke his humerous bone throwing a pitch on the mound, and just collapsed to the ground when he did it.
I guess Britton's injury was rather gruesome and that his arm was bent backwards underneath him when he landed. Makes me cringe just visioning how that would happen.
Prayers go out to him on a full recovery.

Thanks for the information, keyser_soze78. Just a terrible, terrible thing for Britton. Really hate to see that happen anyone, especially a kid like Britton. I wish him nothing but the best and hope to see him back on the field next season.
