This should be a good one honestly ... Trimble opponents have been down right good and the 'Cats have played one of the more tougher schedules in all southeastern Ohio ... OAK HILL (5-0), ALEXANDER (5-0), NELSONVILLE-YORK (5-0), FAIRLAND (3-2) and they beat their only opponent w/o a winning record on the road in BELPRE ... Playing teams that are a combined 18-2, and are bigger schools than you to boot, issn't a terrible thing.

Not only that, Trimble was in all those games against those tough undefeated schools ... The had NY beat until the very end, was leading Alex for a lot of the game, the 'Cats got beat up pretty good by Oak Hill, but who wouldn't their freakin good and the QB is being recruited by Michigan State. Trimble then travels all the way to Fairland and only gets beat 14-0 - the Dragons are an excellent football team, their from Ironton Country and those southern boys can play the sport.

Not to take anything at all away from Eastern because I really like those kids, and I really like Dick Tipton - the preview I did on the Eagles was easy with all the help he offered me ... Tipton is an excellent guy but he's one heckuva of a coach too. Not many head hancho's from southeastern Ohio have made it to Canton with a team from around here and played for a state championship ... But Tipton has with Portsmouth West back in '02 or '03 ... I watched the regionals in Zanesville with West versus Youngstown Ursulin (who had Darryl Clark - Penn State starting QB - leading the way, and a guy named Louis Izzary - who had a full ride to OSU played TE) and that football game was perhaps the best game I have watched in my entire life. I had no ties to P-West, wasn't cheering for anyone really going into it, but by the time it was over I was cheering loud for the West Siders and coach Tipton ...

Long story short ... I really, really like coach Faires (their may not be a more helpful and nicer guy out there in the world) and I really, really like coach Tipton ... AND both of them are super coaches on the field!

If someone twisted my arm I would have to say Eastern 28, Trimble 27

not real well, but we do have 1 more win than river does.

As I said Trimble 42 the b-ball school 6

well if you are from trimble, why dont you just go ahead and name the coaching staff. you wont though, and everyone here knows who you are. a coach should be ashamed to be on here acting like he is from another school. are you too embarrased to act like you are from your own school?

Usually it is in basketball that Eastern is such a heavy favorite. But since open gym is the only hardwood action we have for a while, I guess I will have to comment on this game. Not since the days of the Better Dead than Red midget has there been this much talk about Eastern football. Oh yea, there was that other midget coach after him that won some games. Well now those midgets are coaching against each other, but neither one really makes much in way of contributions I imagine. Me thinks the Eagles may out athlete the team from the dark side in this match up. Though I won't be making the trip up to never land until Howie's troops take to the hardwood. And again, how bout them Steeler's? :12224

Tipton coached at West from 1973-1990 and again from 2005-2006...Mike Sammons was the coach at West during that time period (1997-2004)...not trying to come off as arrogant or call you out or anything, just saying...anyway I completely agree with you, Trimble has had the tougher schedule by far, and will be beat eastern in route to another Tvc hocking title

Eastern wins by 28 points this week.

That old "Trimble Rutter" magic has failed.

No way Trimble loses this one. Yeh, they may be 1-4 but seriously. Who has Eastern beat? If they win I will be the first to congratulate them. I just don't see it happening. The cats are playing for pride now. What started out as a season with playoff expectations has dwindled, but the league title is still in their sights. They will not let that be taken away from them. Trimble gets a long overdue win in front of the home crowd.

I just don't get it!! Trimble was set for another great year, looking to make it back to the playoffs. They played there hearts out against NY and then it seems like the wheels came off. The first 3 weeks it really seemed to me that Trimble was getting gassed to easily. It seemed like they didn't have a very good conditioning program this past off season. I don't know why Trimble isn't playing very well all the time, but I do hope they can turn there season around!

Good luck the rest of the way!!!!

Trimble is playing just like they did in week one they ars just playing better teams than they did in week one. That tends to make teams look like they arent playing as hard.Trimble will get back to winning in the tvc hocking.
