Got the chance to see this game tonight and I was very impressed with Eastern! They have some good shooters, no flashy players just nice solid players. Courtney Rowe (not sure of spelling) was very impressive for the Lady Eagles. Again, she does not do anything flashy or make you go WOW but just does what she needs to do to get the job done.

I didn't see the blowout coming from Eastern. . Congrats to Eastern and I hope Glenwood uses this to prepare for tournaments.

I understand some key player/players were in foul trouble very early in the game. That is something they need to work through and will. Go Tigers!

You are correct! I believe the Eagles were without the Staker girl at that time. The score was 57-47 at NB.

Is she any relation to the Wheelersburg Staker's? Thanks!

I think this is the very reason they should have more of the jv players sitting the bench, to allow them practice time in the case they may be needed

The Lady Tigers lost to the Eastern Eagles on Monday. The loss for NB tightens up the SOC I race with the Tigers are 8-1 in league play and Eastern and Clay both have two losses. Clay plays at Eastern on Thursday!

The Tigers' record drops to 10-2 overall. NB meets the Titans of Notre Dame at ND on Thursday. ND is 4-7 and 2-6.

The JV Lady Tigers won their two quarter game at Eastern pushing their record to 5-1 both in conference and overall?

Let's go Lady Tigers!

New Boston Glenwood Tigers 58
Latham Western Indians 48

Congrats Lady Tigers! NB goes to 13-2 overall and 10-1 in league play. Western falls to 3-13 and 2-7. After 1 quarter it was Tigers 12-6, at the half Tigers 26-14, after 3 Tigers 37-27 and the final 58-48. Excellent effort by the Indians who pulled within seven points at the 1:30 mark of the final quarter.

Missy Buckley needed 17 points to break the 1,000 mark. She recorded that milestone at 5:56 in the final quarter. Missy went on to score 25 points (unofficially). Congratulations Missy!

New Boston welcomes the Miller Falcons 2-9 from Hemlock/Corning which are coming down from above Athens. The game is scheduled at 2:00 Saturday afternoon. Western next hosts the Huntington Huntsmen on February 1. Good Luck to the Indians the rest of the season.

The New Boston Tigers 13-2, 10-1 have three games on the schedule this next week. On Wednesday, the Lady Tigers host the West Union Dragons 1-9 in a make up game. On Thursday, NB travels up to Symmes Valley 6-8, 5-5 to tangle with the Vikings in an important league contest. On Saturday, they host the Sciotoville East Tartans 2-14, 0-11 in a league make up game.

Beyond that, on Thursday 2/12 NB makes the short jaunt up to Sciotoville to meet the Tartans again.

I am not sure if the game with Miller that was postponed today will be made up.

Congratulation Lady Tigers! The fourth consecutive conference title is within reach! Great job!
